WWE Spoilers: Triple H's Next Feud

The blackout at the end of WWE Raw this week was reportedly done to set up two things.

  1. To plant the seeds of a forthcoming William Regal vs. Triple H feud
  2. To not give away the ending of the Orton/Triple H match, with a steel cage battle coming up at Judgment Day.

Does that make sense to anyone? Triple H will feud with Regal because he turned the broadcast off? Shouldn't the viewers feud with Regal over that nonsense?

TNA Knockout Update: Angelina Love, Gail Kim, Christy Hemme

Forgive us, fans of TNA Wrestling beauties, we do spend far more time talking about WWE Divas than TNA Knockouts. We'll try to remedy that imbalance with the following news and notes:

- According to her MySpace page, Angelina Love is dating Jared Weeks of the rock band Saving Abel.

- Gail Kim is featured on the cover of the next issue of Pro Wrestling Illustrated, which is their special "Report Cards of the Stars" issue. Kim is featured alongside WWE stars Undertaker and Randy Orton.

- Christy Hemme's rock band HEMME is taking a short break. Hemme released the following message on her MySpace page regarding the status of the group:

Don't worry the band is not breaking up but just like any marriage or team effort you need a break to reflect on certain issues and even personal issues among the people at play. We just need a short time to get some stuff back on track and our minds back together to rule as HEMME with one solid mind.

The BB Kings show this Saturday will be canceled and we hope to get things back together before the Michigan show which most likely will happen. So this is not goodbye, just see you in a few. We love your support and couldn't give it up for anything in the world. Thank you very much and we hope you all understand, we are 1, us and you.

Here's a photo array of these three beauties. Click on any of the shots below for enlarged pictures of Angelina Love, Gail Kim and Christy Hemme:

WWE Ratings: Monday Night RAW, ECW

WWE Raw earned a 3.3 rating this week. The figure is up from the 3.0 mark the show hit last week for the three-hour show.

Meanwhile, ECW 1.1 rating for Tuesday's show on Sci-Fi. It's the third straight week this number has fallen.

As we previously wrote, it appears as though the WWE is desperate for a jolt to its show with a pair of stunts this week. Perhaps they should focus on better story lines instead.

What do you think?

WWE Spoilers: Smackdown Results, 5-2-08

- Mark Henry defeated Nunzio. Before the match, Nunzio brought out Big Show to be in his corner. After the match, Big Show came into the ring and Henry backed off. Show got on the mic and told him to pick on someone his own size. Hooray! Another matchup of giants. This is all they can do with The Big Show?

- Matt Hardy defeated MVP to retain the WWE United States Title.

- Mick Foley interviewed Batista in the ring. Foley reviewed Batista's match at Backlash with Shawn Michaels. Batista said he respects Michaels, but doesn't like how he got to the top. Foley mentioned Chris Jericho's comments on Raw on the Highlight Reel and if he thought Michaels faked a knee injury to get a win at the PPV. Batista hoped for Shawn's sake that he is hurt because if he isn't, he will be soon.

- Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins defeated Jesse & Festus.

- Finlay defeated Julio Dinero.

- Before The Undertaker vs. The Great Khali main event, Edge and Vickie Guerrero came out on stage. Vickie then said because of his actions, Undertaker was being stripped of the World Heavyweight Title and demanded he bring the belt to her. Undertaker refused. Khali came out for the main event.

- The Undertaker defeated The Great Khali with his gogoplata submission move. While he put the submission on, Ryder and Hawkins ran down and took the World Title away and gave it to Vickie. Khali was choked out and Undertaker took off after Edge. When everyone escaped, Undertaker returned to the ring and gave a bloody Khali a chokeslam to end the show.

Santino Marella Arrested for DUI

Santino Marella is a morn. The former WWE Intercontinental Champion was arrested at 2:57 a.m. in Tampa, Florida on suspicion of DUI.

According to celebrity gossip site TMZ, Marella was pulled over after cops witnessed his car drifting back and forth.

Santino Marella Mug Shot

The wrestler failed two field sobriety tests, including one in which he couldn't hold his balance. He told officers he started drinking at midnight, and had three Miller Lights and one Kamikaze.

Marella was released a few hours ago on $500 bail. Ex-girlfriend Maria Kanellis must be psyched she got out of that relationship.

The Wrestling Post Says: WWE is Desperate

The WWE appears desperate ratings.

How else do you explain the back-to-back finishes to WWE RAW and ECW this week?

First, William Regal supposedly pulls the plug on the Triple H vs. Randy Orton main event on RAW. That's just lame. You watch a show for two hours, you should get rewarded with a pay-off that at least is focused on the match/rivalry itself. But a cheap maneuver to get Regal heat?

Come on, WWE. You saw how well a blackout went over on the The Sopranos finale.

Then, on ECW, Mike Adamle and Tazz staged a walk-out. It's become apparent, because WWE.com published an article about the action, that this was nothing but a work. So, it that what ECW has been reduced to? A third-rate show whose main story line is how awful one of its announcers is?!?

Check out a short clip of the walk-out on ECW now and then let us know: Did you like these show endings this week?

WWE Results: ECW, 4-29-08

Last night on ECW, awful announcer Mike Adamle walked out of the broadcast. Seriously. Here's what else went down...

Kofi Kingston defeated Shelton Benjamin. Adamle said Kofi “has yet to lose in the ECW.” Make him stop, someone. Benjamin had complete control early. At 2:25, Shelton attempted a superplex, but Kofi pushed him off. He hit a high cross body for a nearfall on Benjamin. Shelton charged at Kofi in the corner, but Kofi hit the roundhouse kick for the clean pinfall victory. Adamle called it a big upset.

Mike Knox defeated Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer was on offense early, but Knox quickly took over, working on the back and neck of Dreamer. Delaney got too close to the action, and Knox threw him into the outside steps. Dreamer hit a dropkick to Knox on the outside, but Knox regained the offensive advantage. Knox hit his finishing move for an uneventful pinfall victory.

Matt Striker (with classroom set) stood in the middle of the ring and sounded like a thesaurus. Striker mentioned Adamle, as well. He is not safe from anyone. Striker gave Mick Foley a nice introduction. Striker said we were all “privy” to Foley’s in-ring accomplishments. Foley plugged his books and his relationship with Katie Couric. Striker said Foley had a face suited for radio and not television. He made fun of his smile, ear, hair, and physical appearance.

Foley brought out Mr. Socko. He then gave Striker the Mandible Claw. His music played and he threw Socko to Adamle. Adamle said, “A lot of people would like me to keep this in my mouth.” Tazz said, “You’re right.”

C.M. Punk defeated Chuck Palumbo by DQ. Palumbo hit a big body slam, but CM Punk recovered, utilizing his kickboxing skills. Palumbo regained the advantage, hitting a few powerful moves, including a back suplex for a nearfall. Palumbo wore down Punk with a rear chinlock followed by multiple knees to the lower back. Tazz said Punk had to “find his way out of the box.” Palumbo continued to hammer Punk in the corner and the referee called for the bell.

Chavo Guerrero and Bam Neely defeated Kane. For some reason, Mike Adamle left the broadcast booth. After Kane’s entrance, Tazz was instructed to leave the booth as well. Weird.

Neely pulled Kane off the apron, which allowed both men to work on Kane’s leg. Nice use of exploiting a previous injury. Too bad there is no announcer to tell us that. Chavo continued to work on Kane’s leg as Kane tried to use his power to fight him off.

In the corner, Kane tried a two-handed chokeslam, but his leg gave out. Kane recovered though to hit a backdrop and side suplex for a nearfall. Neely tagged in and Kane obliterated him with shots to the body, followed by another side suplex.

Kane went to the top rope and hit the closeline on Bam. He brought Chavo in the ring and attempted a chokeslam on him, but Bam took out his leg. Chavo hit a frogsplash for the win.
