They should never be able to call anything "ECW" is Paul Heyman isn't involved.... i know he was at first, but new watered down version is crap. How csn Tazz even sit there and call the action without suplexing everyone in the arena???

I totally agree with u guys. They don't even have good Extreme Rules Matches. I think Mr. Mcmahon single handedly destroyed ECW by buying it from Paul Heyman. I'm also questioning why the Dudley Boyz, Spike Dudley, Raven, Mick Foley, Rey Mysterio, and many many others didn't return to the new ECW. Every single time i see it, freakin Elijah Burke and CM Punk are against eachother in the main event. They don't even have their own PPV's because they suck so bad!

It is "milk-toast" on a good day. Vince really dropped the ball on this one. Vince was sold on the idea that ECW was one of the best "no-name" federations in the wrestling business. However, he did not realize that it was never meant for the "mainstream" audience.

Vince saw a wrestling fed that was drawing in fans that he was not getting. In his mind, if he bought them he would have his money and the money they were making.

Much like the Grateful Dead, ECW had a cult following who could see the real value of this type of show. They knew then that it was not for everybody. The fans of ECW loved it because it was different from all of the other wrestling that was out there. Now Vince has taken his lower card talent, who was not good enough for the mainstream roster, but too good to remain in the "farm-clubs" and put them in ECW.

All he ever saw when he saw ECW was low-level wrestlers, who had somehow built a large following. He wanted to draw those fans to his product. He never saw the thirst for extreme action, or how the audience became a part of the show. He only saw that somebody was making a dime that he was not getting. He is operating on the philosophy that the fans will buy it because it says ECW on the lable.  Wasn't that also the theory behind "The new Coke"?

Vince there are still a few of us out there who loved ECW for what it was. High-risk, high-speed, non-stop action that sold itself without the benefit of billion dollar production facilities,  Manhattan's top marketing departments or Hollywood's Oscar winning writers. The stars of ECW did what they did for the love of the game and the thrill of the moment. Not for the Hollywood lifestyle.

My name is Krash and that's what I got to say about that.
