WWE Wellness Violations: Suspensions Announced

WWE sent out a release stating that Chris Masters would be suspended for 60 days for his second violation of the company's wellness policy.

Also, D.H. Smith has been suspended for 30 days for his Wellness Policy violation.

WWE Releases Brooke Adams

The following was recently posted on WWE.com:

WWE has come to terms on the release of ECW/WWE Diva Brooke as of November 1. We wish Brooke the best in all her future endeavors.

WWE News: Matt Hardy Injured, Cyber Sunday Status Questionable

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that at last night's Friday Night Smackdown taping in Kansas City, Matt Hardy suffered a seven-inch gash that required 35 stitches.

The injury took place during a tag match where Hardy teamed with MVP against Finlay and Rey Mysterio.

We'll keep you updated on the status of Matt's match at Cyber Sunday as we learn more.

WWE News: Pay-Per-View Dropped

WWE has dropped New Year's Revolution from its pay-per-view schedule for 2008 and beyond. The 2008 edition was scheduled to take place on January 6.

The announcement comes after WWE also let go of December to Dismember from the pay-per-view schedule earlier in the year. The company noticed that it did better than expected buys for SummerSlam this year, with five weeks in between pay-per-view, and that the pay-per-views that weren't doing well were the ones that were sandwiched in between several other shows.

There will now be six weeks in between Armageddon on December 16 and the Royal Rumble on January 27.

WWE News: Smackdown and ECW Rosters to Merge

It appears as though wrestlers from Smackdown will be competing on Tuesday nights, while ECW grapplers will be coming to Friday nights every now and then, as well.

Here's the article stating as much from WWE.com:

WWE.com has learned that several meetings have taken place between Acting SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero and ECW General Manager Armando Estrada that, if ratified, would allow SmackDown and ECW Superstars to compete on Tuesday and Friday nights.

While nothing is signed as of yet, locker room sources say that this open door agreement between Vickie and the cunning Cuban shyster will be discussed tonight, live on ECW on Sci Fi. No further details have been released, and when pressed for more information, Estrada was tight-lipped (a rarity in its own right).

"I have no news for you right now," said Estrada. "But tonight on ECW on Sci Fi (10/9 CT), I will give some insight into these meetings."

WWE Wrestlers Eligible for Return

A few stars are eligible to come back from suspensions this weekend.

They include: Charlie Haas, John Morrison, William Regal, Mr. Kennedy, Umaga and Funaki. Edge and Gregory Helms are still out with injuries, though Edge should be returning to action soon.

WWE News: The Return of John Morrison

John Morrison will be returning to action next week.

It should be interesting to see if he immediately gets the ECW World Title back, as WWE rumors suggest. The company originally wanted to build a long-term title reign around Morrison.

CM Punk was given the belt because there wasn't anyone better at the time - but Vince McMahon referred to Punk as a "string bean" last year. Makes it hard to believe his title reign will last much longer.

WWE Releases Marcus Cor Von

As first reported by WWE Mobile Alerts, WWE has come to terms on the release of ECW Superstar Marcus Cor Von as of September 19.

We wish him the best in all his future endeavors.
