WWE News: Chris Harris Signs

Yesterday, former TNA wrestler Chris Harris confirmed on his official website that he has signed a deal with World Wrestling Entertainment. Here's the message from his website:

Wildcat Chris Harris is officially announcing that he has signed with the WWE on January 29th.

Think Harris will be a useful addition to the company? Who else from TNA Wrestling would you like to see inside a WWE ring?

The Ultimate Warrior Bashes Heath Ledger, Hulk Hogan

0124_ultimate_warrior_wwf.jpg We'd prefer not to give The Ultimate Warrior a millisecond of attention. But we also wish to take every opportunity possible to point out how much of a whack job this guy is.

The former WWE superstar, known for his over-the-top conservative views, has laid into Heath Ledger. The Warrior has gone as far as to say Heath's infant daughter is better off without a father such as this.

"His kid is without a father, yes, but the negative influence is now removed and his own child has the chance for a full recovery," the insensitive moron wrote on his personal blog.

The Ultimate Warrior also felt the need to insult Hulk Hogan's parenting skills, saying: "He insists on sticking around ruining, and profiting off of, the parentally mismanaged lives of his own children."

How do you feel about The Warrior's comments? What would be the best way to send him into a perpetual coma? Let us know right now at our FORUM.

WWE Issues Statement Deriding CNN for John Cena Quote, Coverage

As previously reported, CNN ran a documentary last week entitled "Death Grip: Inside Pro Wrestling." In it, the network made it seem as though John Cena admitted to steroid use, quoting the wrestler as follows:

5835016.jpg People conceive things because performance enhancing drugs have got the spotlight. It's a hot thing to talk about. I can't tell you that I haven't, but you'll never be able to prove that I have.

Consequently, WWE is steaming mad at CNN, claiming it didn't air the entire quote or interview. Here's the issue WWE official just released on the topic:

"In a country in which the news media is highly suspect, and the quality of unbiased reporting has been thrown into the trash can, CNN has stooped to new depths. Notwithstanding the fairness, or lack therein, of CNN's recent piece entitled "Death Grip: Inside Pro Wrestling," perhaps the best example of how CNN misrepresents and unfairly presents their biased, if not illegal, point of view is the comparison of WWE's unedited video above to CNN's edited version.

CNN's depiction of John Cena as it relates to steroids is not only professionally and morally wrong, but damaging to his character."

WWE News: Fabulous Moolah Passes Away

Here's sad news, courtesy of WWE.com:

WWE is saddened by the passing of Lillian Ellison, who was known to sports-entertainment fans as Hall of Famer Fabulous Moolah. She passed away last night in Columbia, S.C.

In the world of women’s wrestling, there will always be one irrefutable legend that stands head and shoulders above the rest: The Fabulous Moolah. She was the longest reigning champion in the history of her chosen sport, or any sport for that matter.

And with more than 50 years in the business to her credit, she established a legacy that will never be forgotten, making her name synonymous with female wrestling.
