More WWE Draft News, Thoughts

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there were two surefire moves heading into Monday's WWE Draft:

  • Umaga to SmackDown
  • Rey Mysterio to Raw

Matt Hardy, meanwhile, was moved over to ECW because the feeling was that if he and Jeff appeared on the same brand, they would have to be a tag team; Vince McMahon prefers to keep them as singles stars.V

Also, with ECW losing CM Punk and Kane to WWE Raw, the brand obviously needed someone to soften the blow. We're not sure if Matt Hardy really qualifies as that individual, though, are you?

WWE Injury News: The Big Show, Randy Orton

A pair of injuries to significant WWE superstars appear to be rather serious:

  • WWE.com is reporting that The Big Show has been diagnosed with a fracture of the sinus cavity and possibly his orbital bone. He will be seeing a specialist tomorrow in Los Angeles for further examination. Currently the number-one contender to Kane's ECW Championship, it seems unlikely he'll be healthy in time for Night of Champions on June 29.

The Big Show Injured

  • The official diagnosis on Randy Orton's injury is a compress fracture of his left collarbone, reports PWInsider.com. Orton is expected to be out two to three months.

Details on Million Dollar Mania

- The code will change each week of the promotion and will not be revealed until the beginning of each episode.

- The cash will be given away as part of a "lengthy promotional sweepstakes", McMahon and the WWE told The Associated Press. "People can view this as my own version of an economic stimulus plan to benefit our viewers."

World Wrestling Entertainment Suspends Performer

STAMFORD, Conn., May 20, 2008 - In accordance with its Substance Abuse and Drug Testing Policy, WWE has suspended Darren Matthews (William Regal) for 60 days for his second violation of the company’s policy

The length of the suspension indicates it is Regal's second Wellness Policy violation. He was "fired" last night on RAW after losing a match to Mr. Kennedy.
