WWE Rumors: Rey Mysterio to RAW?

Writer Brian Gewirtz is pushing to get Rey Mysterio on Monday Night Raw.

The WWE employee noted that Mysterio is huge with children - just like John Cena has been - and there are a ton of fresh opponents for him to face on the RAW brand. There has been talk in the past of moving Rey to Raw, but it has really picked up in the last few weeks.

Right now, the decision is up in the air. We'd love to see Mysterio on Monday nights, but it would severely hurt Smackdown, a show already in need of star power.

WWE Rumors: An Angle for Lilian Garcia?

Lilian Garcia recently proposed a storyline to management. It would involve people somehow confuseing her with Jillian Hall.

The WWE Diva wants to be involved in an angle to help promote her new music album, ¡Quiero Vivir!, which was released yesterday.

Historically, Lilian has vehemently opposed doing certain angles. For instance, when the Viscera and Lilian love storyline was taking place, she protested against being involved in it. Hence, whole thing was prematurely cancelled.

This time, after Jillian's name had been screwed up time after time, she'd finally snap and do something to the beautiful blonde Latina ring announcer. This would then lead to Battle of the Bands/American Idol style event that would help Garcia sell albums.

WWE Rumors: Vickie Guerrero to Turn Heel

When Teddy Long suffered a heart attack on Smackdown during his weekend, it was an angle that had been planned since June.

The Wrestling Observer reports that Michael Hayes was strong on the Viagra part of the storyline, knowing Vince McMahon would love it and that it was believable drug to trigger a heart attack.

The plan all along was for Vickie Guerrero to get a hold of Long's medical records, learn about his medical issues and orchestrate this whole thing out in the storyline. The end result of the angle is to turn Vickie into a serious heel.

In the end, she will turn into an evil General Manager. She would then turn her wrath against Rey Mysterio in particular, to do a Hispanic version of Vince McMahon vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

WWE Rumors: New Hart Foundation Premiere

The rumored New Hart Foundation are being advertised locally for the SmackDown/ECW taping in Bakersfield, California on November 6.

Teddy Hart (Bret Hart’s nephew), Nattie Neidhart (Jim Neidhart’s daughter), Harry Smith (Davey Boy Smith’s son), Ted DiBiase Jr. and TJ Wilson (close friend of the Hart family for years) are all in WWE’s Florida Championship Wrestling territory. But it's unclear which will be called up.

We'll let you know more when we hear about it.

WWE Rumors: Did Randy Orton Attempt Suicide?

Irv Muchnick — a widely published writer, author of the 2007 book Wrestling Babylon: Piledriving Tales of Drugs, Sex, Death, and Scandal and nephew of the late, legendary St. Louis wrestling promoter Sam Muchnick - claimed today in a blog post on his web ite that well-placed sources within WWE have told him that Randy Orton attempted suicide sometime in the last year.

It was supposedly in the wake of the murder-suicide of Chris Benoit and the drug scandal involving the Orlando-based drug firm, Signature Pharmacy.

Below is the post from his website:

Did Randy Orton Attempt Suicide?
A rumor is swirling that World Wrestling Entertainment star Randy Orton attempted suicide within the last year. Very well-placed wrestling sources tell me that the rumor is true. In the wake of the June murder-suicide of Chris Benoit and the scandal involving scads of WWE performers who ordered steroids and human growth hormone from the Internet gray-market dealer Signature Pharmacy, this is serious stuff.

It’s already clear that WWE’s response to the Signature revelations — generated by the district attorney in Albany, New York, and reported by Sports Illustrated and others — is a joke. Some vague number of the miscreant wrestlers, not named, were “suspended,” but the suspension appears to have consisted of simply being downgraded for a few weeks in TV storylines.

From the same evidence, Randy Orton was not touched at all. That is more than a little strange. Orton’s Signature Pharmacy order marked, at the very least, his second “strike” under WWE’s so-called wellness policy, which would have called for a 60-day (rather than a 30-day) suspension.

WWE Rumors: Jim Ross on His Way Out?

The contract of Jim Ross is about to expire. WWE rumors have made it sound as though the long-time announcer is on his way out of the company.

Ross responded to this talk in his latest blog:

"I am in hopes of re-signing with the WWE and talks are on going. I don’t see any immediate issues on the negotiation horizon. This is another story that has taken a life of its own and many internet sites have written about it as if they know exactly what is going on, but none of them have talked to me about it, which should illustrate that there are times when some sites simply take a rumor and run with it as fact.

My goal is to continue to work for the WWE, but if that were not to work out, I still have plenty to do to keep me busy. My wrestling career has been a blessed one that I would have never envisioned over 30 years ago, but all things have to come to an end at some point. Our Bar-B-Q biz is going to continue to grow as we hope to start rolling out more store stores in 2008 and plan on building several stores over the next few years."

Ric Flair Responds to WWE Rumors of his Quitting

Ric Flair was on local sports talk show "Prime Time with The Packman" this morning on WFNZ in Charlotte. He said he will be opening a new business in Charlotte this week called Ric Flair Finance.

He also responded to WWE rumors that claim he's quitting "No, it's not true," he laughed.

He didn't seem too sure of himself, but he said he would talk more about everything next week on the same show.

WWE Rumors: Returns of HBK, Chris Jericho

  • The return of Shawn Michaels is reportedly not imminent. Michaels was contacted about returning soon, but the word going around is that he is not planning to come back ahead of schedule.
  • Sources say that WWE continues to have interest in a Chris Jericho return. It's unclear how close the two parties are to striking a deal.

WWE Rumors, News: Unforgiven Match, WWE Diva Search

  • The general consensus is that Batista will face The Great Khali at the Unforgiven PPV in a Hell in a Cell match or Punjabi Prison match. We should know more after this week's SmackDown tapings.
  • The 2007 WWE Diva Search Contest winner will be announced at this year’s Cyber Sunday PPV, held in Washington, DC.

WWE Rumor: Vince McMahon's Son to Be Revealed September 10

On Raw last night, Vince McMahon stated that he's gonna to give the mother of his bastard son until September 10to reveal who the WWE superstar is; otherwise he'll file a lawsuit against her.

What makes this interesting is that the September 10 Raw will be in Green Bay, WI, the hometown of Ken Kennedy. It's been rumored for weeks that Vince's long lost son is, indeed, Kennedy - and this will begin a push towards the main event level for him.
