Sources are saying that Chris Jericho's feud with Randy Orton will be short-lived.
Y2J may move on to a "war of words" feud with JBL, cultimating in a match at WrestleMania 24. Which would be quite a let down for those who thought Jericho would pump life into the main event scene.
Some people within WWE are already disappointed with Jericho's mic work, in-ring work and mild crowd reaction.
Remember that whole Ric Flair retirement angle from two weeks ago? Notice how it wasn't mentioned at all this week on WWE RAW?
Reportedly, something happened over the past week that has resulted in the angle being put on hiatus. WWE was expecting Flair's return on 11/26 to produce a strong rating, but the show drew a typical 3.5.
Meanwhile, WWE has been hyping some of "biggest names of all time" to appear on next week's 15th Anniversary RAW special... but there's ben no mention of the Nature Boy. It's likely that Flair and his retirement angle will be moved over to SmackDown in the next few weeks.

Carilto remains unhappy and WWE official would be glad to see him go... but they prefer if he stayed with the company for a few more weeks.
On the heels of Booker T leaving WWE a few weeks ago - and then appearing in TNA, of course - WWE doesn't another huge name to make the jump to TNA Wrestling right now.
This, of course, begs the question: Is Carlito really a huge name?
Former WWE and WCW tag team The Nasty Boys worked a dark match last night at the SmackDown tapings, defeating Dave Taylor and Drew McIntyre.
The former Tag Team champions had been rumored be working a dark match at the show for months. Reports indicate the team actually looked solid in the ring.
With the departure of Brooke Adams, the next obvious question relates to the future of Extreme Expose.
It's possible that Adams gets replaced by 2007 WWE Diva Search winner Eve Torres, who has a dance background similar to Layla El because she was a member of the Los Angeles Clippers dance team. But if the group doesn't stay active, the belief is that Layla will be released.
Layla and Kelly Kelly accompanied The Miz to matches at house shows last weekend, but on Tuesday's ECW show, it appeared they were broken up because they wrestled each other. We'll have more on this as it develops.
Carlito is said to be unhappy with the direction WWE has been pushing him in lately. Some are saying that he has requested to be released from the company. WWE has not granted him a release yet, but may do so in the next week.

Due to Kristal Marshall's release from WWE a few weeks ago, it looks like the planned Vickie Guerrero storyline has been dropped.
Original plans for the angle called for Vickie and Kristal to find out that Theodore Long had a heart condition and to conspire to work together to get him to take Viagra to trigger a heart attack so that Vickie could be the lone General Manager on SmackDown.
Instead, Vickie will simply be a babyface General Manager that stands up to men.
Did Ric Flair ever actually drop out of WWE? No, according to a recent interview The Nature Boy did with WQTM 740 in Florida:
âIt was never where I quit and anything like that. They were trying to figure out what to do with me in terms of the wrestling part of it. This part of what Iâm doing now for the company has always been factored in. I think they were just trying to figure out what to do with me wrestling-wise because I still can wrestle.
I still enjoy it but itâs very hard for them to build a lot around me because of my age. I get that. I donât get it but I get it.â
Even though he's 58 years old, Flair knows that many fans still enjoy seeing him out there in the ring.
âIâm still at that point in my life where I think put me out there. If thereâs somebody better, fine. If thereâs not, keep me out there. And I donât see a lot of guys better. We make two hours of televisionâ¦thereâs 10 minutes for the Naitch somewhere man.
Iâm really proud to be a part of the product. Itâs an awesome company and an awesome show and [Wrestlemania 24] on March 30 will be phenomenal as usual.â
As previously reported, King Booker is deciding his fate in the WWE.
The wrestler was considering walking away from the company for a variety of reasons, which include him feeling as though he got snubbed when his Houston-based training center was not designated an official WWE training center, along with concerns over the changes in the WWE Wellness policy.
King Booker has removed the WWE logo from the corner of his website. He also removed the contact link for WWE Media requests.
Is this really necessary?
After scrapping the Jackass angle, which was suppose to happen at Summerslam, it appears there are plans to redo the story line for this Januaryâs Royal Rumble.
Details are unclear at this point, but weâll keep you updated on whether or not WWE officials actually go through with this plan.
