Ashley Massaro posted a blog early this morning on her official MySpace page. Due to an illness in the family - Ashley’s seven-year old daughter is sick - one of our favorite WWE Divas asked for her release.

some unfortunate news…this is the hardest decision i have ever had to make…

I have some thing to tell you guys and I wanted u 2 be the first 2 hear it…I tried very hard out of the respect I have for her privacy and not wanting her 2 be exposed in any negative light but I have a 7yr old daughter and I just found out 2day that she not well and I can’t be on the road with WWE when my own flesh and blood needs me…

We wish Ashley Massaro and her daughter nothing but the best.

I am a single parent trying 2 juggle taking care of my child and working my butt off for her and now at this point when she is sick and needs me home I have 2 make the decision 2 bow out of wwe for a while and take care of my daughter…I wish I could do both and that there were more ways 2 get everything done but with the severity of the situation I’m going 2 have 2 ask for an early release for now…

I may be back if she gets better…please keep her in your prayers…I love the wwe…I love all the talent that works there and most of all I love all the fans…thanks for always being so supportive…so this is me taking a bow and stepping out of the lime light right now to take care of my family

In her latest MySpace blog, Ashley Massaro gives a shout out to U.S. troops. Here’s an excerpt from it:

So to all of yall overseas that can hear me out there… Ashley and my punks are with you all the way, can not thank you enough for what you’ve done. My bday seems insignifcant considering what these guys have put at stake to put themselves out there. WE LOVE YOU guys.

We have a feeling the troops support Ashley and other WWE Divas, as well.

We hate to bring up a sore subject, but how did you get tossed from Survivor after two episodes?
To make a long story short, never trust a male model. I thought Dave was a good guy, which was my biggest mistake. Well, that and maybe I shouldn’t have drunk that muddy water. That’s why I got sick. Man, my team became so mismanaged and disorganized. Were I in full health, things would have been different, and I definitely wouldn’t have gotten kicked off so early.

Was it hard to return to the WWE?
I was so excited to be back! I couldn’t get the smile off my face when I made my entrance. I surprised a lot of people - even my family - when I came out. And participating in the Lingerie Pillow Fight (on the 1/7/08 WWE Raw) was cool too. I’d never been in one, and I didn’t really know how to brawl in it. I mean, is it wrong to choke someone with a pillowcase?

Do you feel like showing off your new hair style in another Playboy spread?
I’m really happy about how the last one turned out. Playboy catered the shoot to my personality. They spray-painted my tattoos on the set wall. So you never know, maybe I’ll have another go at it.

Despite WWE rumors saying she’s been sent home, Ashley Massaro posted a blog yesterday on her MySpace website saying that she’s actually in Los Angeles because she is suffering from some type of hand injury.

Massaro said that she wants to work, but she cannot get medical clearance to return to the ring. Massaro will fly back to Texas this weekend to to see an orthopedic surgeon in order to assess her injury.

WWE Divas Maria Kanellis and Ashley Massaro paid a recent visit to the Playboy Mansion. And why shouldn’t they? Ashley has already gone naked for the magazine and Maria is followig suit next month.

In a nutshell, Ashley Massaro was born born on May 26, 1979.

She was the winner of the WWE RAW Diva Search 2005 and was on the cover of the April 2007 issue of Playboy. Ashley was also a contestant on the fifteenth season of Survivor in China.

One of Massaro’s biggest victories to date came at New Year’s Revolution 2006 when she won the first ever Bra and Panties Gauntlet match by being the final WWE Diva left still wearing her clothes. Following WWE tradition, of course, she removed all layers herself before making her exit.

During the February 16, 2007 edition of SmackDown!, Ashley unveiled her Playboy cover.

Ashley returned on January 7, 2008 as part of the RAW brand, winning a WWE Divas lingerie pillow fight against Maria, Jillian Hall, Melina, and Mickie James.

Here are a couple updates on a pair of WWE Divas:

• Eve Torres - winner of this year’s WWE Diva Search contest - has started her wrestling training in Ohio Valley Wrestling this week.

• Ashley Massaro made her return to WWE at last night’s Raw brand house show in White Plains, New York. It appears Ashley will be managing a new wrestler upon her return: Prospective WWE wrestler and current OVW wrestler Atlas DaBone defeated Charlie Haas after Ashley spoke to the crowd. After the match, the two left ringside together.

The relationship between WWE and Playboy dates back to April, 1999 when Sable posed on the cover of Hugh Hefner’s publication.

Since then, WWE Divas hot (Torrie Wilson) and not (Chyna) have gone naked within the pages of this magazine. Below, we give fans a chance to vote on their favorite cover shots:

Ashley Massaro briefly spoke during the Survivor: China reunion special last night.

Host Jeff Probst asked the WWE Diva about reaction from her fans. She responded:

“They’re ok with it. I thought about it and I was so scared to come home and face this because I thought they were going to be so disappointed in me, but everyone has been so cool and so supportive and have been just waiting for me to get back in the ring and back into action.”

The beauty added that her supporters were “stoked for me to come back to WWE.”

Ashley Massaro has updated the blog at her MySpace page.

In it, the WWE Diva says that she is now living in Austin, Texas with boyfriend and WWE superstar Paul London. Massaro also says that she plans to be part of the Survivor season finale on CBS, which will be taped in Los Angeles.

Lastly, the beauty stats she has cut her hair and removed her trademark lip rings.
