WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Diva Torrie Wilson as of today, May 8, 2008. We wish Torrie the best in all her future endeavors.

In Torrie’s honor, here’s a montage to our favorite Diva:

Torrie has been injured for many months, but is that a reason to release her outright? It seems like Wilson could be used in some capacity with the company.

Wanna be one of the next WWE Divas?

The WWE is looking for its next set of beautiful women, but there’s a catch: the company is focusing on just one ethnicity at the moment. According to Gotcast.com, here are the qualifications you must meet in order to become the next WWE Diva:

Must be between the ages of 18-27 years old and fit the following:
- Beautiful
- Speaks and understands Portuguese
- Speaks and understands English
- Physically fit/ Athletic
- Great personality

WWE is also looking for other Latina talent; namely, Latinas who speak Spanish and fit the description above.

Attention fans of WWE Divas (i.e. all males with a pulse):

Mickie James, Melina, Layla (pictured) and Kelly Kelly will be appearing on VH1’s “Celebrity Fit Club” tonight 8:00 p.m. EST.

Speaking of the show, Kelly Kelly said:

“The [WWE Divas] and I had a great time. We showed the contestants this whole routine we planned out, and it was great. They were awesome listeners, and they did everything we told them to. They were really fun!”

Sad news for those that were looking forward to the next WWE Diva lingerie match involving Torrie Wilson:

Back surgeons have told the knockout never to set foot in a wrestling ring again. Here’s what Wilson wrote on her MySpace blog this week:

“I have been told by 2 back surgeons that I should never set foot in a wrestling ring again if I want to be moving around in a few years on my own. Pretty depressing if you ask me.”

We may have seen the last of Torrie Wilson inside a WWE ring.

She continued:

“My health is doing ok as far as back problems. I must say there are days that I wake up and ask myself why the heck I put my body through what I did the last few years but it’s all worth it. I can never trade all of the awesome experiences that I have had in the WWE and of course all of the great life long friends that I have made along the way.”

During a recent radio interview with Jason Agnew, Trish Stratus criticized how WWE Divas are being used these days. Here’s a transcript:

Jason Agnew: You know, I am looking at someone like Beth Phoenix, who is really a good in-ring worker and is in a Playboy Mania match at Wrestlemania, any thoughts on that because I think you and her in a match would be much more entertaining than what they are doing right now.

Trish Stratus: I have always been this way, I think there is a place for it because particularly there is a deal with playboy so there is obviously a place for it, there always will be, but I really think they could always provide the other additional idea, that is kind of what I did, I had the women’s storyline going for the women’s championship and then it’s like Beth is the champion and there is no women’s championship match, so I just… boo hoo, I don’t like it. I don’t like it one bit Jason.

Despite WWE rumors saying she’s been sent home, Ashley Massaro posted a blog yesterday on her MySpace website saying that she’s actually in Los Angeles because she is suffering from some type of hand injury.

Massaro said that she wants to work, but she cannot get medical clearance to return to the ring. Massaro will fly back to Texas this weekend to to see an orthopedic surgeon in order to assess her injury.
