Dr. Elan Pfil is a psychiatrist that recently penned a column for WWE.com. Its focus? A comparison between Vince McMahon and Britney Spears.
Here's an excerpt:
Everyone is wondering exactly whatâs next for Britney after she had an apparent meltdown last week that led to her hospitalization and losing custody of her children. As she has shown for most of the past year, 'mini-meltdowns' seem to be the norm for the troubled pop princess.

From flashing her pantyless privates for all the paparazzi to see, to shearing her long blond locks to smashing up the windows of an SUV outside of the home of her ex, Kevin Federline, Britneyâs been screaming for help for a long time.
And so has Mr. McMahon.

WWE sent out the following press release regarding Mr. McMahon's illegitimate son:
STAMFORD, Conn., September 11, 2007 â Five weeks after the WWE Chairman was served with a paternity suit for an illegitimate child he allegedly sired, it was announced on last nightâs Monday Night RAW (9/8pm CT on USA Network) that Hornswoggle was the missing member of the McMahon family.
During last nightâs show, Mr. McMahonâs moment of discovery was accompanied by a scowl of disbelief as Hornswoggle scrambled from under the ring and across the mat to cling tightly to his newfound fatherâs leg. The latest addition to the McMahon family marks the culmination of weeks of speculation in which the lawyer for the woman who brought the paternity suit against the Chairman dropped the clue last week that, âthings are looking up.â
The lawyer then dropped additional clues one by one on last nightâs show to finally reveal the Lilâ Bastard, as he had been appropriately known.
Vince McMahon appeared on NBCâs Today Show this morning.
Host Meredith Viera questioned WWEâs press release from Tuesday, asking Vince how he could be so sure in stating that steroids could not have been to blame when results of toxicology tests wonât be known for several weeks yet. McMahon answered by trying to explain that the statement was aimed at saying âroid rageâ couldnât have been to blame, going on to say the statement that WWE released was a reaction to media hysteria on Tuesday.
McMahon referred to Chris Benoit as âa monster," saying this was "an act of deliberation" and not something brought on my uncontrolled, immediate anger.
Vince spoke about how WWE is all about âputting smiles on peopleâs faces.â
When WWEâs Wellness Policy was brought up, he replied: âLast February (2006), we instituted a wellness policy to police for steroids or abuse of prescription drugs. We do urine and blood tests and things of that nature to determineâ¦as well as test the cardio aspect of things to test for heart disease and heart failureâ¦The last test he took of a random nature was in April and it was totally negative. That doesnât mean he was not taking prescription medication or steroids when this happened. We donât know.â
McMahon went on to talk of how people in his company are âwell-adjusted, family people,â adding that âwe wonât know until we get the toxicology reports back. Once we get those back, weâre dealing in real facts. There was no way to tell this man was a monster. He was a mild-mannered individual.â
When Vince McMahon supposedly died on Monday Night RAW, WWE fans flocked to the Internet to see if the death actually occurred.
Last week, WWE was No. 1 and Vince McMahon was No. 3 on Yahooâs âtop leadersâ list, with Paris Hilton separating them. Mr. McMahon was also on the âtop moverâ list coming in at No. 13.
The WWE also experienced the biggest jump on this week's Lycos 50, coming in at No. 2 behind Hilton. There was an incredible 9,800% spike in search activity for Mr. McMahon on Lycos.
The Pro Wrestling Torch is reporting that there are still many people within WWE not very fond of the Vince McMahon death angle at the moment.
While there was talk of ending the angle quickly, it appears as of now that WWE will continue pushing it as much as possible, as proven with the announcement of another three-hour edition of Raw this Monday night with the angle the focus that evening.
Speaking of, The Pro Wrestling Torch is also reporting that WWE has made attempts to get into contacts with Chris Jericho about a possible return. Based on what is known at this time, Jericho was said to have been really turned off by the current McMahon angle and reportedly doesn't want to be associated with WWE at this time.
Vince McMahon may be alive, folks!
Not only that, but the WWE Chairman will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2008. McMahon will receive a special ceremony and a permanent star on the Walk of Fame.
He will be honored under the Television category, for his contribution to the broadcast television industry. The date of the ceremony was not announced.
The following is an article from The Times-Leader in Pennsylvania...
Did Vince McMahon, whoâs bluffed and blustered his way into the ringmasterâs role of the testosterone-fueled soap opera that is professional wrestling, really fall for the old bomb-in-the-limo trick?
Though World Wrestling Entertainment would have you believe otherwise, the answer is no.
âNo one was in any danger,â said Steve Poremba, a Wachovia Arena spokesman, of Monday nightâs WWE RAW spectacle at the arena, though he would not elaborate.
A WWE spokesman echoed that, but also wouldnât elaborate, instead pointing to a news release from the company and âreportsâ on its Web site. The release inferred that celebrities who have âless than flattering things to say aboutâ McMahon, including real estate mogul Donald Trump, sportscaster Bob Costas, rapper Snoop Dogg and wrestler âStone Coldâ Steve Austin, might be behind a plot to bump him off.
Despite articles on the Web site that firefighters and federal agents are investigating, workers at the Luzerne County 911 Center confirmed that it was âa stuntâ and that no emergency vehicles were called to the arena on Monday night.
âThe âfederal agentâ (referenced on the Web site) is definitely not the FBI,â said Jerri Williams, a special agent spokeswoman with the FBIâs Philadelphia office. âWe have not been made aware of any car bombings. ⦠We would definitely have been informed.â
But fans from across the country have been contacting local media to find out if McMahon, the chairman of the board of WWE, was actually blown up in a fiery limo-bombing on his so-called âMr. McMahon Appreciation Night,â which was televised on USA Network. McMahon had walked out of the building to the waiting vehicle, so fans inside the arena saw the same televised live scene.
Only it was wasnât live. Supervised by Zenith Pyrotechnology, based in Deer Park, N.Y., the explosion was actually filmed at the arena late Saturday night, the footage of the burning hulk taped Sunday night and the whole mess spliced together, said Andy Kratz, the townshipâs zoning officer.

Sources say that Vince McMahon is terrified of letting anyone go to TNA, which is why there has been tremendous heat on guys like Carlito for interviews that they've done, yet few are ever fired for their comments/actions.
Carlito, of course, is doing jobs left and right, while Randy Orton is almost certainly losing at Backlash this Sunday.
The Kurt Angle situation was different because WWE didn't think there was any chance of him going to TNA - and were actually terrified that he was going to die under their watch in the very, very near future. There isn't that fear with him Orton.
There is an extensive interview with Vince McMahon in the Multichannel News today. Below are some highlights:
On Wrestlemania 23: "WrestleMania 23 was a fantastic event, and did exactly what we hoped it would do: entertain our fans, make money and create a buzz around WWE. This was one of our best attended events, second only in attendance for an indoor event to 20 years ago at WrestleMania III."
The Next Big PPV: "In late June, we start our âBiggest Party of the Summerâ campaign which culminates with another classic pay-per-view in August, SummerSlam."
Bald Is Beautiful: "I may be bald but Iâm beautiful, which is more than I can say for Donald. Seriously, working with Donald Trump was great. We took two of the best known brands in the world, WWE and Trump, and combined them in an interesting, entertaining way, elevating both brands as a result. People ask me if going bald was worth it, and it definitely was."
