WWE Spoilers: Possible Unforgiven Results

Here are a few possible WWE spoilers for Unforgiven tonight...

-- Randy Orton was originally slated to defeat John Cena at Summerslam, but WWE made the late decision to give Cena the nod. This month's match will likely not mark the end of the angle between Orton and Cena, so it is possible that Orton might get the belt to keep the feud going.

- Original plans favored keeping the World Championship off Batista so the triple threat match will likely come down to The Great Khali and Rey Mysterio. Both have a unique appeal; arguments have been made for both performers.

- Triple H will defeat Carlito.

- Undertaker is slated to defeat Mark Henry.

- Beth Phoenix, who has been getting a big push, is expected to defeat Candice Michelle in the Women's Championship match.

- CM Punk is slated to retain the ECW Championship, as both Big Daddy V and John Morrison are booked as future title contenders.

- MVP and Matt Hardy are expected to win the WWE Tag Championship match.

WWE Rumors: The Undertaker Returning at Unforgiven

The section for the WWE Unforgiven PPV on the "iN DEMAND" website is currently featuring the following in its preview for the event:

Prepare yourself for the return of the Undertaker at WWE Unforgiven. No one escapes their destiny when the Deadman comes calling.

Cable networks often plan their ad months ahead of time, so this may not actually be the case. But it gives us reason to hope that it could be.

Triple H Featured on Unforgiven Poster

WWE News: Early Unforgiven Buyrate In

Insiders from the WWE have released early PPV buyrate figures this year's Unforgiven. The show, which was headlined by Edge vs. John Cena in a TLC Match for the WWE Title and DX vs. The McMahons & Big Show in a Hell in a Cell, drew 285,000 purchases.

That number is up from last year's early 225,000 buys, which later turned out to be 260,000 buys in total.

With the release of the final number, the show could easily approach 200,000 buys domestically. As of now, Unforgiven is the second most purchased single brand WWE PPV of 2006, slightly ahead of ECW One Night Stand II.

It's just behind Smackdown's Great American Bash PPV that reported a total of 330,000 buys.

TLC Match Crowns New Champion: Unforgiven Results, 9-17-06

The following report is courtesy of wrestleview.com ...

- Johnny Nitro defeated Jeff Hardy to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship. A majority of the match saw Nitro working on Hardy's left knee. Lots of near falls towards the end of the match. One spot saw Hardy kick Nitro into Melina, who fell off the ring apron and grabbed her ankle. The finish saw Melina pull off her boot and hit Hardy with it, allowing Nitro to get the pinfall and retain the title.

High Flyers

- WWE Smackdown GM Teddy Long was shown watching the show from the skybox.

- Backstage after the match, Matt Hardy was shown consoling Jeff Hardy. Lita then showed up and mocked Jeff and Matt saying they would never be champions like Edge and herself. Lita added that Matt would get a chance to face John Cena on Smackdown once Edge beats him tonight. Possible Hardy Boyz reunion?

- Kane vs. Umaga ended in a Double Countout. The fans in Toronto didn't like this finish at all and rightfully so. The match itself was strong as they had lots of back and forth spots. One spot saw the two go over the top rope and Kane went after Armando Alejandro Estrada, pulling off his jacket and ripping it. The finish saw Kane hit an overhead belly-to-belly suplex on Umaga over the top rope. Kane then clotheslined Umaga over the guard railing and then went after him in the crowd. The referee then called for the bell to cause the double countout finish.

- Backstage, the McMahons were shown watching footage from WWE RAW and bragged about beating up DX. Shane said he would take both down to allow Vince to get the pinfall. Vince then said unlike Canada, who has all their allies do the work, he wanted to be the one to put DX down and beat them.

- The Spirit Squad defeated The Highlanders to retain the World Tag Team Championships. Mikey & Kenny were the team defending the tag titles tonight. Lots of interference from the other three during the match. The finish saw Johnny hit the ring and hit Rory with a high kick from behind allowing Mikey to hit a facebuster and get the pinfall to retain the titles.

An Edge to John Cena? Unforgiven Predictions and Thoughts

Forget Unforgiven spoilers or what you may have heard about the event, let's get right to our predictions on what looks to be a solid card:

Expect Bloodshed

Kane vs. Umaga (w/Armando Alejandro Estrada)

What is Kane ever good for but providing a nice rub for a rising star? The Big Red Machine may deserve more, but he won't get it here. Umaga looks to be main eventing soon.

Winner: Umaga

Carlito vs. Randy Orton

We may be overly hopeful on this one, but Randy Orton deserves more of a punishment for failing a recent drug test. Dropping this bout to Carlito would barely even qualify since he's a strong foe, but we gotta start somewhere.

Winner: Carlito

World Tag Team Championship: Spirit Squad (c) vs. The Highlanders (Robbie and Rory McAllister)

There's stil a tag team division, really? Who knew?!? It's always better, when trying to build a rivalry, to have the faces chase the heels. So The Highlanders will have to wait for their first taste of WWE gold.

Winner: The Spirit Squad

WWE Women's Championship: Lita (c) vs. Trish Stratus

An obvious call. Or at least it should be. Trish deserves to leave with the belt. Let there be a tournament afterward to crown a new women's champ.

Winner: Trish Stratus

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Johnny Nitro (w/Melina) (c) vs. Jeff Hardy

Probably the toughest on the card to call. Hardy has been on fire since his return, but Nitro makes for a strong champion right now. Melina also has momentum and we can't see the WWE giving Jeff the belt so close to his return.

Winner: Johnny Nitro

Hell in a Cell Handicap match: D-Generation X (Triple H and Shawn Michaels) vs. Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon, and The Big Show

Please, please end this feud! Is there any doubt at all that DX wins this match? The only question remaining is what sort of sick bump Shane takes off the cell?

Winner: DX

Edge will Prevail at the PPV

TLC match for the WWE Championship: Edge (w/Lita) (c) vs. John Cena (If Cena loses, he will leave RAW and go to SmackDown!)

Ok, we know rumors have Cena remaining on RAW, but Edge has mad too good of a champion. It would be a major mistake to change waists of the title holder this soon. Let Edge run with it longer.

Winner: Edge

Unforgiven Spoiler: John Cena Advertised for RAW

John Cena to Smackdown? The thoughts of various WWE Superstars on the possible move may not matter anymore.

With Unforgiven taking place on Sunday, word is coming in that Cena is still advertised for WWE RAW events on dates long after the pay-per-view has ended.

The two main examples are a show in Chicago on October 23 that and an upcoming Survivor Series tour of the UK this November.

Such advertisements are typically printed well in advance, so it's plausible that may still be changed - or it's plausible that Cena will grab the title belt before Edge in the duo's TLC match at the event. Tune in and find out!
