Vickie Guerrero comes to ringside in a wheel chair. She announces that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Batista, The Undertaker, and Edge all three have matches on tonight’s show.

Edge defeated Funaki
Edge hits the spear in a match that lasts less than two minutes.

Layla & Victoria defeat Michelle McCool & Kelly Kelly
Chuck Palumbo comes out on his motorcycle and distracts Michelle McCool, costing her and Kelly Kelly the match. Where is this going?

Rey Mysterio defeated Kenny Dykstra
Crowd was hot throughout the entire match. Mysterio worked with his usual high-flying style, hitting the 619 for the victory.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Batista comes out. It is announced that he will face Kane in a Last Man Standing match.

Batista vs. Kane in a Last Man Standing Match
Both hit early finishers for an 8 count. Batista hits a spinebuster on Kane on the announcers table. Edge comes out from the crowd and hits a spear on Batista. Batista gets up before he is counted out, but Kane isn't so lucky. Batista gets the win as he is the last man standing.

Festus defeated Miz
Jesse was with Festus while John Morrison was with Miz. Festus got the win over one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions after hitting the Flapjack.

Hornswoggle vs. The Great Khali
Finlay comes out and attacks Khali with the Shillelagh. Khali's handler, Rujin Singh, grabs Hornswoggle, which distracts Finlay. This enables The Great Khali to take him out with a chokebomb.

Undertaker defeats Big Daddy V and Mark Henry in a three-way match
Undertaker wins the match after hechokeslams Mark Henry. After the match Big Daddy V and Mark Henry beat up Undertaker. Edge comes out and mocks Undertaker.

Teddy Long comes to the ring and announces MVP vs. Rey Mysterio at Armageddon, says that Vickie isn't there and that since he is Assistant GM he will be calling the shots until her return. Edge comes out, trying to speak to Vickie through the camera. Teddy announces Edge vs. Kane in the Main Event tonight.

- Tag Match: The Miz/John Morrison def Jesse and Festus.

- Batista def Elijah Burke. After the match, the lights were cut off while a promo was cut backstage, we could see them still working with Burke in the ring. He eventually was helped to the back, but it took approximately five minutes before he was able to leave.

- Jamie Noble def. Chuck Palumbo. Michelle tried to help Palumbo but cost him the match. Afterwards, Chuck gets a mic and questions if she is really his "friend", tells her that tonight she needs to find another ride home and leaves.

- MVP's VIP lounge was next. Guest was Michael PS Hayes. They are promoting a new video "World Class Championship Wrestling," mostly about the Freebird/Von Erich feuds. Talk about the problems that wrestling went through in the 80's with drugs. MVP becomes "disrespectful" of the older generation of wrestlers resulting in Hayes punching him. MVP beats him up until Mysterio hits the ring and fights with MVP until officials separate the two.

- Finlay def. Deuce. Nice promo before match with Hornswoggle pretending to drive Deuce/Domino's car. Entertaining match. Khali comes into the ring and beats down Finlay before leaving.

- Main Event: Kane def Edge by DQ. Excellent match. Kane throws steps into ring. Edge hits Kane with chair shots then places kane on the steps for a con"chair"too. Batista charges the ring to save Kane, lights go out, Takers music hits, light on, he has his hands around Edge's neck ready to chokeslam him. Batista spears Undertaker, Edge runs from ring with Batista looking on. This may have been the end of the taping. Undertaker sets up and proceeds to beat Batista down and leaves the ring area.

Smackdown started with an Edge promo where he talked about how Vickie Guerrero was responsible for the whole plan at Survivor Series that led to his return.

- Finlay and Hornswoggle beat Deuce and Domino in an entertaining match. Finlay used the shillelagh and the little guy got the pin.

- Jamie Noble was backstage with Chuck Palumbo and Michelle McCool. They set up a match for later in the night.

- CM Punk beat Kenny Dykstra with the Go To Sleep.

- Rey Mysterio and Kane beat Big Daddy V and MVP when Rey hit the 619.

- Jamie Noble beat Chuck Palumbo in a somewhat boring match. Ended with a roll up when Chuck was in the turnbuckle.

- Khali and Ranjin Singh did a promo where they set up Finlay vs. Khali for Armageddon.

- Edge beat Batista via DQ. Batista was about to spear Edge when the lights went out. Undertaker came out. He let Batista spear Edge. Taker then choke slammed Batista.

Teddy Long came back and made a Triple Threat match with Edge, Batista and Undertaker for the Armageddon PPV.

- The show opened with Vickie Guerrero and Edge backstage. They start to argue, then huge and Edge reveals it was a plan all along for his return. Vickie announces Batista vs. Edge next week on Smackdown for the World Heavyweight Title. The segment ends with both kissing. Seriously.

- In the ring, JBL introduced MVP and put him over as the greatest U.S. Champion ever and presents him with a ring resembling the U.S. Title. MVP then runs down Matt Hardy on the mic until Rey Mysterio comes out. This sets up MVP vs. Mysterio later tonight.

- The Major Brothers did a promo about their upcoming match.

- WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz defeated The Major Brothers.

- Backstage, Vince McMahon was with Finlay. They exchange more talk about being Irish. Finlay & Hornswoggle vs. Mark Henry is announced for later tonight.

- Backstage, Batista confronts Vickie Guerrero for teaming up with Edge. Vickie says she loves Edge.

- Kane defeated Big Daddy V via DQ.

- WWE U.S. Champion MVP defeated Rey Mysterio.

- Finlay & Hornswoggle defeated Mark Henry in a Handicap Match. After the match, The Great Khali came down and Khali and Henry took out Finlay.

- Jamie Noble defeated Chuck Palumbo.

- Torrie Wilson defeated Victoria.

- The Cutting Edge with Batista: Vickie Guerrero joined Edge in the ring and then introduced World Heavyweight Champion Batista. Batista said Edge doesn't deserve a title shot so soon, but he does deserved to get his ass kicked. Batista shoves Edge and leaves. The lights then go off and the gong hits. The Undertaker appears and Edge takes off. Undertaker teases he will chokeslam Vickie, but then gives her a Tombstone. Vickie was taken out on a stretcher.

Here are the quick results for the Smackdown taping, airing tomorrow night...

- Jeff Hardy defeated Finlay via DQ.

- John Morrison and The Miz defeated Matt Hardy & MVP to become the NEW WWE Tag Team Champions. After the match, MVP requested an instant rematch and Hardy and MVP lost again. MVP then attacked Matt Hardy and slammed his knee into the steel steps.

- The Undertaker cut a promo about Survivor Series this Sunday.

- Rey Mysterio defeated Mr. Kennedy.

- WWE Women's Champion Beth Phoenix and Victoria defeated Mickie James and Torrie Wilson.

- They did an official weigh in for Hornswoggle vs. The Great Khali this Sunday at Survivor Series. Hornswoggle weighed in at 138 pounds. Khali broke the scale when he tried to weigh in. Hornswoggle started crying.

- World Heavyweight Champion Batista defeated Mark Henry.

- The Major Brothers won a Tag Team Battle Royal involving The Daltons, Jimmy Wang Yang & Shannon Moore, Deuce & Domino and Dave Taylor & Drew McIntyre to earn a shot at the WWE Tag Team Titles later in the night.

- Victoria defeated Michelle McCool.

- Finlay defeated Rey Mysterio.

- ECW Champion CM Punk defeated Jamie Noble.

- MVP & Matt Hardy defeated The Major Brothers to retain the WWE Tag Team Titles.

- The Undertaker defeated The Great Khali in a No Holds Barred Match.

- Batista and Undertaker had a segment where they both decided to call a truce for the night. Later, they will face Mark Henry and The Great Khali in a match. Khali and Henry come down and confront them to preview the tag match.

- Festus (with Jesse) defeated Deuce (with Domino and Cherry).

- Rey Mysterio defeated Jamie Noble. Noble confronted Vickie Guerrero and she set up the match. Noble lasts a lot longer than expected.

- Kane defeated MVP. This match was pretty bland. In fact, boring chants even broke out. Surprisingly, this was by far the worst match of the night.

- Mick Foley defeated The Coach (with Hornswoggle McMahon as the special referee).

- Chuck Palumbo (with Michelle McCool) defeated Kenny Dykstra (with Victoria). Believe it or not Chuck Palumbo is pretty over.

- Batista & Undertaker vs. Mark Henry & The Great Khali ended in a no contest. This was the only match tonight that had a big match feel to it. JBL interfered for no apparent reason and clotheslines Batista. That was the finish. Khali and Henry leave Batista and Undertaker laid out to end the show.

- The show opened with an "MVP Lounge" in-ring segment to push MVP & Hardy vs. Finlay & Rey Mysterio later on in the night.

- Kane defeated Mark Henry.

- WWE Tag Team Champions MVP & Matt Hardy defeated Finlay & Rey Mysterio.

- Backstage, Jamie Noble tries to pick up Vickie Guerrero. She puts him in a match instead.

- World Heavyweight Champion Batista defeated Jamie Noble.

- Big Daddy V defeated The Miz & John Morrison in an ECW Match.

- JBL interviews The Undertaker. Undertaker chokeslams JBL and Batista hits the ring taking out Undertaker with a Spear. Undertaker sits up and stares down Batista to end the taping.

In an effort to hype up Cyber Sunday, the main event for next week's edition of Smackdown will feature WWE Tag Team Champions Matt Hardy & MVP against the unlikely team of Rey Mysterio & Finlay in a non-title bout.

Great Khali vs. Kane
Great Khali got more of a reaction than he seems to on TV. Plenty of heat. Once again the Big Red Machine comes out to a very big pop. The match is a bit clumsy, but ends pretty decently, with Kane winning by DQ, as Khali chokes him with a wire. Kane then retaliates by flooring Khali with the bell. However Big Daddy V then comes out, and takes down Kane with a big Samoan drop.

Chuck Palumbo vs. Chris Masters
Palumbo comes out to a semi-decent pop, while Masters gets pretty good heat. A fairly solid match, which Masters wins, when Victoria destracts Michelle McCool, which in turn distracts Chuck. Masters gets the role up and the tights.

Matt Hardy vs. Finlay
Before the match, MVP says he will have Hardy's back. Hardy says thanks but no thanks. The match itself was pretty good. Hardy gets a very good pop, while Finlay gets a mixed reaction. During the match, the crowd were going to and fro with 'Lets go Hardy', 'Lets go Finlay' etc. Match ends when Finlay goes to get the shillelaigh, MVP comes out and pushes the shillelaigh away from Finlay, which lets Matt hit the Twist of Fate for the win.

Drew McIntyre vs. Brian Major
McIntyre comes out with Dave Taylor. Very quiet match for the crowd, many took the chance for a bathroom break. Couple of 'boring' chants too. Nothing special, but McIntyre gets the win.

JBL comes into the ring to interview Batista. JBL says people are voting for him to be the special referee in Batista-'Taker match at Cyber Sunday, and gets everyone to chant his name. The crowd replied J..B..L...sucks. Batista comes out to one of the biggest pops of the night (as expected). Few words exchanged and then Batista starts to leave the ring. JBL calls him a coward before Batista leaves, then Batista turns around and spears JBL out of his shoes.

Deuce 'n' Domino vs. Shannon Moore/Jimmy Wang Yang
Fairly quick, but decent match. Yang gets the win with a moonsault off the top.

Undertaker vs. Jamie Noble
Noble comes out scared. Very quick match, which Taker wins with a choke slam, then tombstone. After the match Noble seems to be injured, and a few refs come down to help him back. He gets some good positive support from the crowd, too.

MVP vs. Rey Mysterio
Huge pop for Rey, MVP gets a big reaction too, very mixed. A solid match, with MVP getting the DQ win. Finlay interferes and attacks MVP to get revenge for earlier. He then goes after Rey, who gets the better of him eventually, and the show finishes with Rey celebrating.
