WWE Results: Monday Night RAW, 3-10-08

Welcome to a recap of Wrestlemania Rewind night on WWE RAW. Let's see what went down...

ut.jpg Match #1: Wrestlemania 22 Rematch - Casket Match: Undertaker vs. Mark Henry
Undertaker gets Henry in a submission hold, blood comes from his mouth. Undertaker kicks Henry as he rolls into the open casket. The refs closed the casket.
Winner: Undertaker

Triple H wants Wrestlemania gold. At Wrestlemania 23 he was out due to an injury inflicted by Randy Orton. Triple H never got his rematch and says that this year, it's personal.

Match #2: Mr. Kennedy vs. Finlay
JBL comes out and accepts Finlay’s match at WrestleMania for a Belfast Brawl. Finlay upset and, disturbed by JBL’s disruption of his match, attacks Kennedy with his shileliah repeatedly. The ref comes down and calls the match.
Winner by DQ: Kennedy

Match #3: Intercontinental Championship match: Jeff Hardy vs. Chris Jericho
Jeff Hardy hits the twist of fate, but misses the swanton-bomb! Chris Jericho hits the code breaker for the victory!
Winner: Chris Jericho (New Intercontinental Champion)

Iron Sheik and Nikoli Volkoff come out with Barry Windham and Mike Rotunda to do a Wrestlemania 1 rematch. Unfortuantely, Jillian comes out and croaks “born in the USA” and Rotunda picks her up in an airplane spin, Jillian leaves, and the match never really takes place.

Match #4: Wrestlemania 15 Rematch: Triple H vs. Kane
Triple H hits a pedigree after a bit of back and forth action.
Winner: Triple H

John Cena says that he beat all of the odds in returning to the WWE as early as he did, and will defy all odds again by winning the gold.

Match #5: Wrestlamania Pre-Match: Melina w/Beth Phoenix vs. Maria Kanellis w/Candice Michelle
Santino comes down to the ring carrying a copy of Maria’s Playboy issue. He rips up the magazine and gives Melina the opportunity to pin Maria.
Winner: Melina

The Official WWE RAW Preview

Don't forget, WWE fans: Monday Night RAW is three hours tonight. Here's the official preview for it, courtesy of WWE.com:

Superstars from Raw, SmackDown and ECW will battle in rematches from past WrestleMania spectaculars, giving competitors the chance to rewrite – or relive – history.

During this special Raw event, Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Big Show will meet in an official WrestleMania weigh-in for their titanic matchup in Orlando. Will sparks fly as The Greatest Fighter in the World will once again be in the same ring with the gargantuan former World Champion before their one-on-one contest at WrestleMania XXIV?

John Cena made the matches last week on Raw, and got an RKO for his efforts. Now, Raw GM William Regal has tapped Randy Orton to be in charge in next week's Triple Threat Takeover on Raw. What will the WWE Champion have in store for his two WrestleMania opponents?

Shawn Michaels told Ric Flair he didn’t want to be the man to end the legendary 35-year career of the Nature Boy. Will HBK reconsider and recommit to facing his friend on sports-entertainment’s grandest stage?

Last week, JBL challenged the Finlay to a match at WrestleMania, as he further tortured Hornswoggle in his hospital bed. Bet on the Irish coming out ready to fight tonight if Finlay crosses paths with the self-made millionaire.


WWE RAW Rating Remains Steady

This week's edition of WWE Raw drew a modest 3.5 overall cable rating. Approximately five million people tuned in to the show, which was main evented by Tripled H versus Randy Orton.

The show earned a 3.46 in the first hour and a 3.47 in the second hour, which rounds up the number to a 3.5. Last week's show garnered a 3.5 rating, as well.


WWE Results: Monday Night RAW, 3-3-08

Just a few weeks away from Wrestlemania 24, here's what went down on WWE RAW last night...

William Regal announced triple a threat takeover: over the next three weeks, one of Triple, Randy Orton, and John Cena would be in charge of the show First up? John Cena.

Big Show vs. Brandon “The Thrill” Hill
Brandon Hill is the exact size of Floud Mayweather, who was was watching via satellite from Las Vegas. Big Show choke slams Hill for easy win. This is followed by awkward exchange between Show and Mayweather
Winner: Big Show

Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair vs. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdock
Flair applies the figure four leglock on Cade. Michaels applies the figure four leglock on Murdock. Cade taps. Afterwards, HBK makes a solid speech about not wanting to face Flair at Wrestlemania 24 because he'll have no choice but to "stop his show."
Winners: Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair

Cena announces Orton vs. Triple H tonight. Next Monday night will be a three-hour Raw, with Mayweather appearance and much more.

Umaga vs. Super Crazy
Umaga samoan spikes Super Crazy. Lame match.
Winner: Umaga

Highlight reel with Chris Jericho. Guest is Jeff Hardy. Y2J states that from now until WrestleMania, anything goes and they are no longer friends. Hardy agrees and immediately gives Jericho the twist of fate, leaving him lying on the mat.

Mr. Kennedy vs. John Cena
John Cena jumps off the top rope with a tremendous leg drop, applies the STFU. Kennedy taps out.
Winner: Cena

They announce the special master of ceremonies for the BunnyMania match at Wrestlemania between Maria Kanellisa and Candice Michelle/ Melina and Beth Phoenix: Snoop Dogg!!!

Carlito vs. Cody Rhodes
Carlito with the backstabber on Rhodes for the pin.
Winner: Carlito, qualifes for the money in the bank match.

Finlay comes out to confront JBL, but Vince announces that JBL is somewhere else. Vince asks Finlay if Hornswoggle is his son. Finlay says "yes." JBL comes on via satellite. He shows up on the screen in Hornswoggle’s hospital room. Finlay tells JBL to not touch his son. JBL then challenges Finlay at WrestleMania. The lights go out. There is commotion with Hornswoggle and JBL both making wrestling noises.

Randy Orton vs. Triple H
HHH was going to go for the pedigree, but Cena came into the ring and gave HHH the FU; Orton comes in and gives Cena the RKO.

WWE Results: Monday Night RAW, 2-25-08

This week's WWE RAW opens with a photo op for John Cena, Randy Orton, and Triple H for Wrestlemania 24. We're sure this will go well. The three pose for a photo and then throw Orton out of the ring for being too cocky. But just as Cena and Triple H are about to fight, Orton comes back into the ring and RKO’s both.

Carlito and Santino Marella w/Maria Kanellis vs. Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes
Hardcore gives Marella the Alabama Slam to win.
Winner: Rhodes and Holly

Qualifier for Money in the Bank Match: Jeff Hardy vs. Chris Jericho
Chris Jericho in double counter roll-up on Hardy.
Winner: Chris Jericho

Vince McMahon comes out and tells the world that he made a mistake for the first time ever. He says, however, that JBL was the one that injured Hornswoggle, and he calls JBL to the ring. JBL apologizes, and not for the beating, but for not doing it earlier. He says that Hornswoggle is not Vince’s son; He's Finlay’s son. He says that Finlay knew the entire time, and that he will get documentation about it to prove to Vince. He says he will make Finlay admit it.

Umaga vs. D.H. Smith
Umaga Bulldozed smith into a corner and hit Samoan Spike for the win.
Winner: Umaga

William Regal is in the office and has received a memo from Vicki Gurerro asking for a match at Wrestlemania 24: a representative from Smackdown will go against a representative from Raw to show which is the superior brand.

Shawn Michaels vs. Lance Cade w/Trevor Murdock
HBK gets Cade in a leg submission, but Murdock interrupts and the ref calls for the bell.
Winner: HBK by DQ

HBK gives both boys some sweet chin music. Ric Flair then comes down and says that he wants to wrestle HBK at Wrestlemania 24, but HBK believes that if they wrestle, Ric will be fired due to the edict from Vince. He finally agrees, however. That was a quick, almost annoying way to set up a major match.

A new Playboy Bunny match is announced for Wrestlemania: Maria, Candice Michelle, Beth Phoenix, and Melina will take part. It is also announced that Maria’s Playboy cover unveiling will be next week on Raw.

Randy Orton and Mr. Kennedy vs. John Cena and Triple H
It’s a fairly exciting match, watching the four men go at it. Cena gets Kennedy in the STFU and Kennedy taps out.
Winners: Cena and Triple H 

WWE Results: Monday Night Raw, 2-18-08

Tripe H starts off Raw. But he barely has time to talk before Randy Orton comes down and says that Triple H is just jealous of Orton.

Soon, John Cena joins the party and then William Regal comes out and says that Cena deserved a rematch due to Orton throwing the match at No Way Out, so the two would wrestle tonight: if Cena wins, there will be a triple threat match at Wrestlemania.

Match #1: Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Jeff Hardy vs. Snitsky
Jeff Hardy has new theme song: “No More Words” by EndeverafteR. Twist of fate followed by a swan-ton bomb.
Winner: Jeff Hardy

HBK comes down to the ring and announces the first inductee of the class of 2008 Hall of Fame: Ric Flair.

Match #2: Paul Birchell w/ Katie Lee vs. Super Crazy
Birchell grabs his arms from behind and head stomps him into the canvas.
Winner: Paul Birchell

Big Show comes down and apologizes for his actions at No Way Out. He asks for Floyd Mayweather to come down so that he can publically apologize to him. They shake hands and then Floyd goes to leave, but Big Show stops him and challenges him to a match: the greatest fighter in the world against the largest athlete in the world. Mayweather accepts the challenge.

WWE RAW Rating Down from Last Week

This week's edition WWE Monday Night Raw drew a final 3.4 cable rating.

The first hour earned a 3.36 rating, while the second hour drew a 3.42 rating. These numbers are down from last week's 3.6 rating, which was a drop from the strong 3.9 rating the show drew two weeks ago.

Finlay interjects into the match to save Hornswaggle - Vince begins to tell Finlay that he’s fired but Finlay leaves, and Vince spews out venom about Finlay, who winds up behind him and clocks him upside the head with the shallileigh. Finlay has Hornswaggle get on top of the rope and do a frog splash on top of vince.
WINNER: Hornswaggle

Match #2: JBL vs. Chris Jerico
Y2J breaks the code on JBL with codebreaker.
WINNER: Chris Jericho

Umaga  comes out and gives Jericho a samoan spike. Ouch. JBL hired him to do so.

Vince McMahon is shown in the locker room and he says that next week he’s going to take Hornswaggle on in a steel cage match. Does anyone care about this feud?

Match #3: Paul Burchill w/Katie Lea vs. Brian Kendrick
“What Katie wants, Katie gets.” - because as a big brother, Paul wants to keep his sister happy. Burchill uses a modified swinging neck breaker on Kendrick.
WINNER: Paul Burchill

Match #4: Mark Henry vs. John Cena
Orton sits at the announcers table and won’t shut up. Henry uncovers the corner turnbuckle and exposes the cables. John Cena dodges henry and makes him hit the turnbuckle. Cena gives Henry a flying elbow off the top rope and applies the STFU to Henry. Henry taps out.
WINNER: John Cena

Match #5: Melina w/Jillian vs. Maria w/Santino
Jillian and Santino are at the announcer’s table. Maria has the upper hand on Melina for awhile, and just before she’s going to finish the match, Jillian screams from the announcers table and plants a wet one on Santino, distracting Maria so that Melina can get the roll up.
WINNER: Melina

Santino gets into the ring and tells her to choose between him and Playboy - he gives her one week to choose and then plants a big wet on on her before he leaves the ring.

Match #6: HBK vs. Jeff Hardy
One hell of a main event - back and forth - Jeff Hardy takes it via Swan Ton Bomb off the top rope.
WINNER: Jeff Hardy

WWE Spoilers: Monday Night RAW Results, 2-11-08

Because WWE RAW grapplers are touring Japan next week, the company has already taped the show set to air next week. Here's a look at what went down...

6276984.jpeg Hornswoggle defeats Mr. McMahon via pinfall
McMahon calls Finlay a coward, which prompts Finlay to hit him with the Shillelagh. Hornswoggle nails a tadpole splash off of the top rope onto McMahon, gets the pinfall.

After the match, they show a backstage segment between Mr. McMahon and William Regal. McMahon tells Regal to get some dismissal papers ready as he is going to fire Finlay for interfering.

Chris Jericho defeated JBL via pinfall
Jericho hit his Code Breaker finisher and got the win clean. After the match, Umaga comes out and gives them both a Samoan Spike.

They show another backstage segment with Mr. McMahon and William Regal. McMahon says that he has decided against firing Finlay. Instead, he is going to wrestle Hornswoggle in a cage on next week's edition of RAW.

Before the next match, the incest angle debuts on television between Katie Lea and Paul Burchill. Burchill basically says that whatever Katie wants, Katie gets.

Paul Burchill defeated Brian Kendrick via pinfall
Burchill wins with what was thought to be his finisher. Looks like an inverted swinging neckbreaker.

WWE Champion Randy Orton comes out next in street clothes to watch John Cena vs. Mark Henry.

John Cena defeats Mark Henry
After the match, John Cena lashes out at WWE Champion Randy Orton, who is sitting with Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler at the announcer's table. Cena tells Orton that he's 100% healthy.

Mr. Kennedy comes out to ringside wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Flair comes out later in the segment wearing a tuxedo. Flair tells Kennedy that he will not forfeit their upcoming match at No Way Out. The segment ends with Kennedy kicking Flair in the knee, which Flair sells.

Melina defeated Maria via pinfall
Jillian Hall kissed Santino, distracting Maria. While Maria Kanellis was not paying attention, Melina rolled her up for the three count.

After the match Santino gets on the mic and tells Maria that she must choose - it's either Playboy or Santino. He says she has one week decide and gives her a kiss.

Jeff Hardy defeated Shawn Michaels via pinfall
This match was given a lot of time. Both attempted finishers, but missed. Michaels locked an inverted Figure Four on Hardy but he got to the ropes. Eventually, Hardy is able to hit Twist of Fate and a Swanton Bomb on Michaels. Hardy was able to get the three count.

WWE RAW Rating Plummets

This week's edition of WWE Monday Night Raw drew a final 3.6 cable rating.

The first hour scored a 3.64, while the second hour earned a 3.53. The figures are down quite a bit from last week's 3.9 rating and marked the second week in a row that the number of viewers dropped as the show went on.
