We're two weeks away from No Way Out. Let's see how it will be hyped on this edition of WWE RAW...

WWE Champion Randy Orton is in the ring with a table. He said his lawyers drew up this contract, which he had already signed, but he demanded John Cena come out and sign the contract because he didn't want the former champ to wuss out on their match at No Way Out.

Cena came out and signed the contract. Orton said that was easy and he guessed he’d see him in two weeks - but warned that if something happened with Mark Henry later in the night, Cena would still have to face Orton. At that,
Henry came running down to the ring and distracted Cena just long enough for Orton to sneak around the table and plant him with an RKO. Orton stood over Cena with his title belt before leaving the ring.

Kelly Kelly & Mickie James v. Victoria & Beth Phoenix
Victoria got all mean and what not and ripped Kelly up over her shoulders by her hair a few times before slamming her to the mat. Kelly had enough and Mickie tags in. Mickie started doing her fun old head scissors and a hangman’s (or woman’s) neck breaker. Mickie went to the top rope but Beth wiggled her off shaking the rope.

Beth came in and began tossing Mickie all about but almost got tapped on a nice guillotine choke. The hell ensued shortly thereafter though as Beth tossed Mickie to the corner. She tagged Victoria who dumped Kelly to the outside. Beth was still dazed on the outside and Victoria taking her eye off the proverbial ball cost her, as Mickie hit the implant DDT for the win.
Winners: Mickie James and Kelly Kelly via pin fall

picture-1.jpg Elimination Chamber hype time!

Shawn Michaels is in the ring talking about making it to the main event of Wrestlemania. He said he came close to winning the title last year, but second place sucks. He said he’s done everything, won all the titles and heck, he even sings his own theme song. He said still though, he was unsatisfied. He said he was putting everyone on notice. At No Way Out... Chris Jericho’s music hit and he came out to the ring.

Jericho said he couldn’t disagree with anything HBK said except for one thing, which was that he would win the WWE title. Jericho said he’d been in more elimination chambers than anyone. He said he knew what it was to headline Wrestlemania and his passion to get back to it was second to none. He said his destiny would manifest itself an no one would beat him…. out comes Jeff Hardy.

Hardy’s pop was enormous. Hardy looked at both and he said he thought it was great both wanted to go to the main event at Wrestlemania. He said him personally, he’d never been but he’s so close and he can taste it. He said he’d sacrifice his body and do whatever it took, even if that meant taking the five biggest bucks on the Raw roster.. Out.

JBL’s music hit and he came down to the ring. JBL said he had to move away from Texas to live in NYC and live in the home of a champion. He said these people didn’t cut it and needed to shut up while he was talking. He said they all had the resume, but they forgot that JBL always gets what he wants. Whether he buys it or takes it, he gets what he wants in the end. He said Umaga didn’t speak English well, but he understood the language of money and he’d guarantee his safe passage to the Wrestlemania main event.

Umaga’s music hits. Umaga looked at JBL kind of funny. Snitsky’s on his way out now and what the heck is he doing here? Snitsky said all these people had their chances and he deserved to be in the match. He said if they didn’t give him one of their spots, he’d take it himself.

He said the six of them couldn’t agree on anything, but if there was something they’d agree with, that Snitsky didn’t deserve anything. Now all of a sudden we’ve got a fight.

Mr. Kennedy v. Super Crazy
Kennedy dragged Crazy out to the ring post and slammed it off it before coming back into the ring and dropping the elbow. Kennedy ripped away at the leg on a reverse toe hold before Super Crazy eventually kicked him off. Kennedy pounced right back on him though, slapping on some sort of reverse figure our for the tap out win.
Winner: Mr. Kennedy via submission

Kennedy got on the mic and directed us to the titan tron where he showed MVP being a big jerk face to Ric Flair. Kennedy said he knew he was hurt and knew Flair saw what he did to Super Crazy. He said he was going to take it easy on him and let him come out next week and forfeit the match. He said he knew that wasn’t Flair’s style, but he said if he goes through with the match, he’s going to lose. He said not only will he end his career, but he’ll make him limp for the rest of his life.

Santino Marella & Carlito v. London & Kendrick
Carlito and Kendrick started it off. Kendrick hit some kicks and punches before heading into the ropes where he connected with a nice standing drop kick for a two count. Kendrick kept up the pressure and hit a running forearm and some wheel kicks. Kendrick went to the ropes again, but Marella yanked the ropes up and Kendrick crashed and burned. London chased Santino around the ring while Carlito collected Kendrick and nailed a back snapper for the quick win.
Winners: Carlito & Santino Marella via pin fall

Mr. McMahon came down to have Horswoggle join the Kiss My Ass Club. He said many of the people didn’t give a damn about their kids and never disciplined them. He said they were too concerned about themselves, and not about giving tough love to their offspring. He mocked people trying to reason with their kids and said they were pathetic. He said you told your kids what to do.Hornswaggle came out to the ring.

Vince said that Hornswaggle knew he loved him and that it would hurt Vince more than it’d hurt him. Vince said we’d get on with it. Vince got in position and it’s terrible looking. Hornswaggle teased the ass kissing a few times before Finlay’s music hit and he came down to the ring.

John Cena's music hits, and the former Champ makes his way down to the ring to a massive pop. Cena grabs the mic and, amidst boos and cheers, says "this is why I love this city, no matter what you think, you're going to get loud and rowdy." He says that he's here tonight to answer a question that's been on everyone's mind: how could this be possible? In October 2007, he suffered an injury that required surgery. The Doctor's said he'd be back in 1 year, which means that for the first time in his career he'd have to meet watch Wrestlemania from the bench. Now, in his absence, a new champ is crowned, and new contenders were put in place, and life in the WWE went on.

cena.jpg But in a hospital bed, his life was crumbling as his dreams faded away. So, in the last second, in the final hour, he risked it all for the chance to get an opportunity to once again go to Wrestlemania. Maybe it was luck, skill, or both, but the impossible has happened. He is back, he is the winner of the 21st Royal Rumble, and he's going to Wrestlemania! That is, unless, the fans would like to have Wrestlemania here tonight: there's a man that has something that he wants. He officially challenges him for that Championship. Tonight, John Cena versus Randy Orton for the WWE Championship.

Orton's music hits, and the Champ comes to the ramp with belt and mic in hand. Randy says he's got an answer, but it's not what he wants to hear. He's answered many challenges, HHH, HBK, Y2J, and Jeff Hardy, and the same thing has happened: He has beaten them.

Cena says yes, he's beaten them all, and done something that nobody else has been able to do. He's taken out John Cena, because he's smart. He saw opportunity and he took it... which is why he's going to take this match tonight. He's going to take it because he thinks he has an advantage, and although he's never beaten Cena, he knows in his heart he needs every advantage he can get, and he has one right now. Is he going to wait 8 weeks for Wrestlemania and let Cena get even more healthy?

Orton answers by saying that ever since he's put Cena on the shelf, he's become a very big deal...a bigger deal than Cena has ever been, which is why he'll never defend the belt unless the people open their wallets and pay to see it. This means that he will not be facing him tonight. Since Cena can't wait til Wrestlemania, and he can't wait, he's on for the next PPV unless he wants to wait for Wrestlemania.

Cena says he won't wait. He'll accept the challenge at No Way Out. But tonight, he doesn't forget what Randy took from him. It's been four months since he's been in the ring, and he wants some. Tonight, he will get some.

This is lame. WWE hypes the Royal Rumble because the winner gets a shot at Wrestlemania - and Cena gives a wonderful, heartfelt promo about risking his career for that shot at Wrestlemania - only to give it up instantly for a bout at No Way Out instead?

Ashley and Mickie v. Jillian and Beth
Beth gets tagged in eventually and Mickie hits a crucifix takedown with a near fall, followed by a flying shoulderblock and a 2 count. Jillian gets in and they doubleteam Mickie, but Mickie counters it and throws Jillian out of the ring. She turns around from that only to get caught by Beth with a shot in the head and a fisherman's suplex for the win. Jillian holds back Ashley so that she could not interfere in the 3 count.
Winners: Jillian and Beth

William Regal's music hits he says that whoever is the WWE Champion after No Way Out will face one of 6 contestants at Wrestlemania. The 6 contestants will square off in an Elimination Chamber to decide who faces the winner of Cena/Orton.

The participants:

Umaga
Shawn Michaels
Chris Jericho
John Bradshaw Layfield
Jeff Hardy
Triple H

Carlito v. Cody Rhodes
Cody hits the ropes and lands a flying fist sending Carlito to the outside. Both men get in the ring, and Marella hops on the apron, distracting Cody. Carlito uses this opportunity to hit the backstabber for the win.
Winner: Carlito

In the back, Triple H is talking to HBK. He says last night didn't work out, and they've got another chance at No Way Out. They have to beat the hell out of each other in the Elimination Chamber, which isn't good for HBK, Shawn admits. Tonight, however, HHH needs a tag team partner. HHH takes off his hoodie to reveal a DX shirt. Shawn says "be right back" and leaves camera. He comes back about 3 seconds later with a DX shirt and plus WWEShop.com. HHH says "lets do this" as we head to a break. Funny stuff.

Shawn Michaels va. Mr Kennedy
Kennedy grabs the arm right away but Shawn counters into a facelock. Kennedy chains out back to the arm with a hammerlock. They do a weird thing where Kennedy gets faked out jumping for a leapfrog and Shawn pulls the leg away. Back to the countering on the mat and they bridge up into more countering. Kennedy starts getting aggressive with crossfaces but Shawn turns away from them to protect his face. Kennedy gets a neck vice and neckbreakers him over the knee several times.

We return from commercial with Kennedy in control and we see Shawn getting catapulted into the ring post during the break. Kennedy with the FACE WASH. Well Shawn does have a lot of fake tan on there (4 mentions, thank you JR). Shawn flip bumps in the corner and channels Nigel McGuinness with a lariat. Double down. Kennedy is up first with a jawbreaker. He wants the Mic Check but Shawn blocks it. Kennedy is cut hardway by the eyebrow. I think Shawn caught him with an elbow. Beth isn't done and runs Mickie into the apron back first. Beth decides it's time to ground this and hooks up a neck vice. Mickie is still very spirited and gets a sneaky roll up for 2. Winners: Finlay & Hornswoggle

PROMO TIME: Chris Jericho. Less sparkly attire this time around. Perhaps that means he's a little more serious. "Y2J" " crowd. Jericho is very calm. JBL isn't here so there's no point calling him. Which is ironic after JBL called him a coward last week. He says JBL's actions are those of a coward. Jericho talks about his 4 year old son's reaction last week and JBL had planted the seeds of doubt in his son's mind about his father. He says JBL made a huge mistake. Not choking him out. He made a mistake by not finishing what he started. Jericho says he's still here. He talks about MSG and how its always a good show. But he's not interested in a good show or a spectacle. He'll be at the Royal Rumble for a fight.

Brian Kendrick vs. Umaga

Umaga cuts him down a few times. Umaga charges into the buckles and Kendrick kicks and moves until Umaga recovers and jabs him with an uppercut. Tree of Woe headbutt misses. Kendrick kicks at him again but a missile dropkick doesn't shift the big man. Neither does a leaping sidekick or an Enzuigiri. Umaga flips him up into a sweet Samoan drop. That whole sequence was awesome. Umaga has had enough and the Samoan Spike finishes.
Winner: Umaga

Two weeks until The Royal Rumble, here's what went down on WWE RAW last night...

Jeff Hardy's music hits, and the Rainbow Haired warrior makes his way down to the ring to a massive pop. Hardy grabs the microphone and says he's excited because at the Royal Rumble he has the chance to become WWE Champion. He's thrilled, but he's also angry. Last week, he wasn't able to take Randy Orton out. Tonight, he will.

Hardy asks for Orton to come out now, or, if not, he'll come back and find him. After a slight pause, Orton's music hits and the champ comes to the stage. Orton says if Jeff wants him that bad, he's got it... but with one condition: only two men have ever held both the IC and WWE title have held it at the same time. Orton wants to be the third. Therefore, at the Royal Rumble, they'll fight for the WWE title. Tonight, however, they'll fight for the Intercontinental title. Hardy accepts. Orton says good, because Jeff is out of brothers to kick in the head. Jeff makes himself clear that tonight he's taking out Orton.

Six Diva Tag Match: Ashley, Maria, and Mickie James v. Melina, Jillian, and Beth Phoenix

Beth takes advantage of the distraction and hits Mickie with the delayed Fisherman's Suplex for the win.
Winners: Melina, Jillian, and Beth Phoenix

hbk.jpg Shawn's music hits. He comes down and complains that he has to fight in a Rumble qualifying match. He says it's ridiculous - he came in second last year, and has won two rumbles before. He came out here to challenge Mr. Kennedy, so why not make that a Rumble qualifying match. However, Shawn's music gets interrupted by Trevor Murdoch's music. Shawn doesn't look too happy.

Royal Rumble Qualifying Match: Shawn Michaels v. Trevor Murdoch
HBK starts off with an armlock, but Murdoch quickly takes over with a few blows to the head and an inverted atomic drop followed by a big boot. Murdoch continues delivering punishment by throwing Shawn into the turnbuckle hard, and getting a 2 count. Murdoch locks in a neck vice, but HBK starts to power out of it by kicking, punching, and slapping his way out of it. Michaels with a big thesz press, followed by a big flying forearm. Michaels hits an inverted atomic drop, followed by a few fists and a body slam. Michaels gets to the top rope and hits a flying elbow drop, and starts tuning up the band.

Before he can hit sweet chin music, Murdoch falls backwards. Shawn grabs his legs and appears to try to lock in a sharpshooter, but twists the legs differently and locks in an inverted figure four. Murdoch submits and this is over. Sick looking leglock.

Kennedy appears on the jumbotron, and Kennedy starts talking about how he's better than HBK, and that Shawn's ego is still las large as ever. Kennedy says he has nothing to prove to Shawn, but out of the kindness of his heart, he'll give him his final moment in this business when he steps into the ring with the present and the future of sports entertainment: Mister Kennedy.

HBK looks on, while Murdoch gets back in the ring only to catch a superkick out of nowhere. Ouch.

Winner: HBK

Vince is in the back talking to Hornswoggle, telling him he's proud, but concerned. As one of the 30 men in the Royal Rumble, he has no prior experience. Therefore, VKM is going to give him some: a mini-royal rumble match. Hornwoggle will start, and the first person to compete will be Mr. Kennedy followed by Mankind followed by Batista... and maybe a surprise or two. If Hornswoggle is successful tonight, he's got a real shot at winning the real thing, and going to Wrestlemania... but that's not too likely is it? Vince grabs Hornswoggle by the throat and tells him his last name is McMahon, and anything can be done. Hornswoggle looks frightened, but Vince lets go and tells him that he's proud of him.Triple H v. Snitsky
A collar-elbow tie up between the two ends with Snitsky in the corner getting pounded on by HHH. Snitsky turns the tables with a few right hands, and then starts to work on HHH. Triple H manages to fight back, but takes a back elbow from Snitsky. Snitsky runs to capitalize, but HHH launches him to the outside.

Triple H takes a shoulder block in the corner, followed by two more. Triple H gets thrown into the opposite turnbuckle, and Snitsky hits a sidewalk slam. Snitsky covers, but HHH kicks out at 2. Snitsky bodyslams the Game, and hits a standing elbow, covers, and gets another 2 count. Triple H starts to get up and meets Snitsky's punches with his own. Snitsky quickly grabs HHH in a bearhug, and starts to put the pressure on. Another "Triple H" chant breaks out. HHH starts to hit some elbows to Snitsky's head, but the hold doesn't break. Triple H starts to fight back again, and forces a break in the hold.

Snitsky kicks HHH in the gut and goes for the Pumphandle slam, but HHH reverses with a DDT. Both men slowly get up, but Triple H hits a facebuster, followed by a spinebuster. Triple H goes for the Pedigree, but Snitsky backdrops him over the top rope to the floor. Snitsky tosses HHH into the ring steps, and places HHH over them. Snitsky goes to crush HHH on the steps, but Triple H moves and grabs a chair. HHH gets disqualified by beating Snitsky senseless with the chair. Snitsky rolls in the ring, but HHH follows after grabbing the sledgehammer. HHH hits Snitsky with the hammer, and follows it with a Pedigree. HHH lost, but he is standing tall.
Winner: Snitsky by DQ

JBL's music hits and he comes down to the ring amidst a ton of red and black balloons. JBL says that for several months, someone was going to save us, and that was Chris Jericho. Jericho stuck his neck out to save us, but how is his neck? JBL shows a recap of last week when he obliterated and hanged Chris Jericho. JBL asks us where our savior is now? He says he's at home where he should have stayed. JBL says he loves domination and power, and when he was dragging Jericho, it was like dragging everyone who looked to Jericho to be their savior. Chris couldn't make it tonight, but JBL knows he's watching. JBL tells Chris to move over, he wants to talk to his children.

"Do you see what I did to Daddy's neck? Daddy just realized that there are people better and stronger. Your Daddy is gutless, spineless, and had all the fight taken out of him by me." JBL says he doesn't want to make this personal, but he wants Jericho to look at his kids and tell them that JBL's just better than him. He says if Chris comes to the Royal Rumble, the savior will need to be saved. Awesome promo and incredible mic-work.First entries:

Vince walks out very slowly as the face WWE Divas look on, confused. The Divass clear the ring, as Vince takes center ring with a microphone. He says last week, he was to celebrate one of his greatest creations, but instead he was beaten and humiliated. As he lay unconcious, the rest of the company celebrated. He doesn't know how anyone could celebrate, and questions why they enjoyed his anguish. He says he's not a monster. His feelings have been hurt, and we've broken his heart. He's a human being, too. Vince looks like he's about to cry, but Jeff Hardy's music hits!

Jeff grabs the mic from Vince and says he wants to explain it. Next week, he'll be in Iraq - and the people celebrated when Saddam fell. Jeff asks him if that sounds familiar? Hardy says they don't want to hate him, but they don't give him a choice. Vince doesn't give a damn about anyone, so nobody gives a damn about him. Vince goes to the corner of the ring and sits down, starting to cry as Raw goes to commercial. Beyond weird... and NOT entertaining.

raw.jpg Vince is still in the ring, with Regal and the refs telling him it's time to go. Hardy appears to be gone. Vince is still pouting.

Triple H's music hits, with Vince cowering in the corner still. The Game picks up the mic and tells Regal to let him handle this, because he's the closest thing Vince has left as "family." Triple H starts trying to get Vince's attention, and then tells the crowd to mark the time, because Vince has officially flipped. HHH tells him to get up and leave, but he doesnt. Triple H says he knows what Vince wants, and he'll be the bigger man. The Game apologizes for ruining the family portrait and all the other things from last week saying "my bad." HHH says "for the love of God, get out of the ring before they cancel the show." Regal comes in and says he's got a better idea. He orders HHH to show compassion and leave the ring, or he'll get security to throw him out of the building.

Vince gets back to his feet with Regal's help, as Triple H looks on. Vince grabs the mic from Triple H and says he's got a better idea. He tells Regal to get Coach, but don't bother getting security. Vince says tonight, it's Regal and Coach against HHH, and he hopes something bad happens. He hopes something bad happens to each and every one of the fans.

Triple H v. Regal and Coach

HHH takes out Coach first, and Regal then gets a few punches followed by a knee lift, sending him out of the ring. HHH puts Regal into the announce table, and then knocks Coach down again. Regal gets behind HHH and sends him into the stairs, and then into the ring, kicking the Game against the ringpost head first (ouch.) Regal gets back in the ring and holds HHH while Coach punches him. Regal hammers big left hands against Triple H, and puts him in a corner, only to be met with the waiting boots of the Game. HHH takes over again, hits a facebuster on Regal, and then grabs Coach. Regal goes to his coat on the outside and grabs brass knuckles, but walks right into a spinebuster as soon as he gets back in the ring.

Coach grabs the brass knuckles, but Triple H walks up to him and sees him with them on. Coach gives them to Triple H, who hits Coach with them on top of the head playfully, but kicks him and then gives him the pedigree. This one is over.
Winner: Triple H

Cody and Holly v. Cade and Murdoch

Ric Flair comes out and catches us up on his storyline. He says the Naitch doesn't get hurt. He's been in the business for 35 years, and he loves this business and being the Nature Boy. He's sacrificed a lifetime to be who he is, and walking away is not an option. His entire family has sacrifice, as he's been the most selfish man alive trying to be Ric Flair. He then talks about his old friends and new friends, mentioning everyone from Steamboat to Batista. Now, it's up to him to give us what we believe; he's got to be the Nature Boy Ric Flair.

Tonight he's got the bulldozer in front of him, and if he loses, it's all over. He promises when he walks away, he's going to be the best he's can. He has to be the man... and he will not get beat without the fight of his life. He follows it up with a great quote: "If I lose tonight, thank you."

He says he has one goal, and that's to become the new WWE champ. Jericho said he couldn't get a title match by beating Santino, or just asking for it, but he had to get under Orton's skin.

Randy asks Jericho who's going to save him from the worst beatdown of his life. Jericho, back live, says to tell everyone - text all your friends- and let them know that Y2J will be the new world champion.

y2j.jpg

Orton's music hits, and he comes down to the ring to face off with Jericho. Orton grabs a mic and says that everything is always about Jericho. He thinks he got under Randy's skin, but Orton's not giving him a title shot for that - he's giving him a title shot because he can beat Jericho, like he beat HBK and Cena. Y2J says he used to brag about beating Stone Cold and the Rock, but that means nothing now. Jericho says he's been watching Randy, and he's grown into being the best in the world, but he's also devious, violent, and vicious. Jericho says he is all of that too, and he'll beat him at Armageddon.

Orton says since we're being honest, he doesn't like Jericho one bit, and if he wanted to, he'd wipe the smirk off Y2J's face without breaking a sweat. Jericho gets ready to fight, but Regal's music interrupts. He says he doesn't want the main event for Armageddon yet. No, tonight, Orton and Jericho get to choose each other's opponents tonight. After being asked, Orton tells Jericho he's facing someone he's never faced before: Umaga. Jericho goes the opposite route, and goes with someone Orton has faced many times before. Kennedy's music hits, and the best thing to come out of Green Bay not named Favre comes down to the ring and grabs the mic. He says Shawn will want to watch this, as he's gone ahead and invited three of his closest friends and rivals to have a discussion. Kennedy wants to know more about Shawn. First, he calls out Shawn's old partner... Marty Jannetty! (It is obviously NOT Marty Jannetty. It's an imposter in a bad wig.) Next, Kennedy calls out Shawn's opponent in the greatest ladder match of all time, Razor Ramon! (Again, an imposter.) The Razor impersonator says "Hey Yo." Kennedy thanks him for showing up tonight. (ouch!) Next is Big Daddy Cool Diesel!

Kennedy says the panel is just great, but it feels like it's missing something. It would be incomplete without the man himself. Kennedy calls out Shawn Michaels, and another imposter comes out. Kennedy says he's going down the line with one word that summarizes their feelings about HBK. Diesel says "Egotistical," Razor says "Chump," and Marty says "traitor." Kennedy agrees wholeheartedly, and says that his one word is "Loser." He looks at the fake HBK and says after Armageddon, he better think of a new profession.

HBK's music hits, and the REAL Shawn comes to the ring. Kennedy rolls out of the ring, and HBK delivers three superkicks. Kennedy jumps back in the ring, but dives out once Shawn sees him. Now, about the tough love stuff, Hornswoggle has been lucky lately. Finlay isn't here tonight, so Hornswoggle has a handicap match against Carlito and Coach. As a McMahon, Hornswoggle better be resourceful. Hornswoggle picks up his cell phone and calls someone.

In the back, Triple H and Regal are talking. HHH asks what Regal's ulterior motive is. Regal says both were Survivors, both are champions, and so it made perfect sense... with the winner getting a WWE Title match at the Royal Rumble! Regal says the Game's whole career has been about hating his enemies, and turning that hate into dominance. The problem is, HHH doesn't hate Jeff Hardy, he respects him. Triple H says maybe he doesn't hate Jeff Hardy, but when it comes to being WWE Champion, he'd pedigree his own mother, grandmother, and even his father-in-law.
