WWE Raw Rating: Not Impressive

This week's edition of WWE Raw earned a 3.2 cable rating, down from the 3.5 of the last few weeks and back to where the show was doing before the draft.

The show did hours of 3.11 and 3.29. Keep in mind, however, that it was up against the popular Major League Baseball Home Run Derby.

WWE RAW Ratings Set Off Panic

There's a bit of panic in the halls of WWE Titan Towers today. After a week of heavy publicity promoting the WWE Million Dollar Mania, the ratings are in for Monday Night RAW:

Last weekâs dismal 2.9 only saw an increase to 3.1 with all of the publicity.

The reason for the recent decline in ratinsg is obvious: true fans don't care about some transparent, lame giveaway. They want fresh story lines, new feuds. Think about the rivalries that have dominated WWE angles for months and months:

Randy Orton-Triple H, John Cena-JBL, Chris Jericho-Shawn Michaels, Undertaker-Edge.

Do any of these excite you anymore?

Memorial Day RAW Rating: Weak

This past week's Memorial Day edition of WWE RAW drew just a 2.9 cable rating. Oddly enough, it would be hard for the company to blame the holiday for the low number.

In three out of the last five years, the WWE RAW rating actually roseon Memorial Day from the previous week's show. It's a good thing a roster shake up is coming in the form of a draft; the show need some sort of boost.

This week's edition of WWE Raw drew a final 3.2 cable rating. The first hour earned a 3.07 rating, while the second hour scored a 3.32 rating. This was down from last week's 3.3 rating.

The show has seemed stale since Wrestlemania XXIV, hasn't it? What would you do to add excitement to it?

WWE Ratings: Monday Night RAW, ECW

WWE Raw earned a 3.3 rating this week. The figure is up from the 3.0 mark the show hit last week for the three-hour show.

Meanwhile, ECW 1.1 rating for Tuesday's show on Sci-Fi. It's the third straight week this number has fallen.

As we previously wrote, it appears as though the WWE is desperate for a jolt to its show with a pair of stunts this week. Perhaps they should focus on better story lines instead.

Smackdown Rating Drops Slightly

Friday night's 4/18 edition of WWE Smackdown drew a final 2.5 fast national rating. This mark is down slightly from last week's early 2.6 rating.

The show was highlighted by The Undertaker vs. Batista.

WWE RAW Suffers Massive Ratings Drop

After drawing a disappointing 3.2 rating last week, this week's WWE RAW didn't fare any better.

Taped in London, the show only earned a 3.2 cable rating again, according to data compiled by Neilson Media Research.

At least Last week's RAW had an excuse: it likely likely suffered from the NCAA men's basketball championship game between Memphis and Kansas. This week, though? We suppose the absence of John Cena and the fact that the show was taped could have affected the week's figure.

Still, the last time WWE RAW drew a rating below 3.5 in April was in 1997.

WWE Smackdown Rating Holds Steady

WWE Smackdown earned a 2.6 overnight rating for The CW network on Friday. The show drew the same rating last week after finishing with a 2.4 mark in the two previous weeks.

Did you like this edition of Smackdown, which was main evented by The Undertaker vs. Festus?Â

WWE RAW Rating Drops, Basketball Blamed

This week's edition of WWE RAW earned a 3.3 rating, a substantial drop from last week's show. The first hour drew a 3.15 rating and the second hour drew a 3.48 rating.

The show had an average audience of 4.7 million people,Â but it's safe to assume those that were not tuned in to RAW were enticed by the Memphis/Kansas NCAA Men's Basketball Championship. It was a great game.

Post-Wrestlemania RAW Earns Big Rating

This week's edition of WWE Monday Night Raw drew a final 3.9 cable rating. The first hour earned a 3.77 rating, while the second hour drew a 4.05 rating. This is a big jump from last week's 3.4 rating.

The event, of course, was highlighted by a tribute to Ric Flair.
