Bobby Lashley to TNA Wrestling?

TNA officials are hopeful that former WWE star Bobby Lashley signs with the company because they see him as another big name with star power.

Kurt Angle and Booker T have been in touch with Lashley a lot recently, trying to recruit him to their side. Most sources believe that it's only a matter of time before Lashley joins TNA.

Do you think Lashley would be a good fit in TNA?

WWE Rumors: Lashley Left Over Pay

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a source has said Bobby Lashley's discontention with WWE had to do with his payoff from WrestleMania 23.

The star received $250,000 for his efforts in his heavily-hyped match with Umaga. But Lashley was said to be furious with this payoff, considering he was the winner of the biggest-drawing match in WrestleMania history.

Moreover, even though he was injured for nearly half the year, several sources have indicated that Lashley earned somewhere in the neighborhood of $1 million in 2007. Without being much of a merchandise draw, this seems like a hefty amount for the superstar.

Would he really complain about making seven figures?!?

Bobby Lashley: Gone from WWE

As Brock Lesnar trains for the UFC, another former WWE champion is leaving WWE for another fighting industry.

In a phone call placed this afternoon to internet wrestling journalist Ryan Gray of WrestlingNewsWorld.com, Bobby Lashley confirmed that he is gone from the company.

Lashley told Gray that he was training hard for a potential career in Mixed Martial Arts. The former ECW Champion said that despite the fact that he wanted to pursue an MMA career, it would NOT be with UFC.

Would Lashley be interested in going to TNA Wrestling? He failed to say. But he did add that WWE has granted his release, but it would not be officially announced until the paperwork was finalized.

WWE Rumors: Bobby Lashley to Return at Royal Rumble

The rehab of Bobby Lashley is going very well. There's a decent chance this WWE Superstar will make an appearance at the Royal Rumble later this month.

This hasn't been decided yet - but if there's a "mystery contestant" (as WWE often does), expect it to be Lashley.

Bobby Lashley Injury Update

Bobby Lashley had surgery on his shoulder Tuesday in Birmingham. Details of the surgery remain to be seen.

While looking for the rotator cuff injury, though, doctors found something else which was said to be serious. He is expected to be out of action for atleast another month, if not longer. We’ll keep you updated when more information is released.

Heat on Bobby Lashley; Referred to as WWE Diva

Right before his current injury, Bobby Lashley was gaining extreme amounts of heat in the WWE locker room.

Many even compared it to Brock Lesnar type of heat. One of Lashley's traveling buddies believes that Lashley's girlfriend Kristall Marshall has messed up his head. Mr. Kennedy would refer to Lashley as the male "WWE Diva." Along those lones, Kennedy once called Steve Austin asking for advice because Lashley was not wanting to sell to anyone in his matches leading up to the Lashley/John Cena match at Great American Bash.

Lashley had complained to the agents because he wasn't happy with how his character was being booked over the last few weeks. He wanted to be a heel, not a face. WWE kept changing their minds. They had Lashley spear Cena. Lashley got booed for it. But then they told Lashley he was not turning heel.

Lashley hated being in a limbo state. He had wanted to complain to Vince, but McMahon had bigger things to worry about. Right now, the severity of Lashley's injury is currently unknown. If it is indeed a torn rotator cuff, it could keep Lashley out of action for up to six months.

Bobby Lashley Injury Update

WWE.com reported Tuesday that Bobby Lashley is suffering from a shoulder injury and will report to Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham for a diagnosis.

A preliminary check by WWE's Dr. Ferdinand Ross suggested that Lashley might have suffered a rotator cuff tear in his left shoulder.

WWE.com's report said that Lashley suffered the injury during his RAW match with Mr. Kennedy, although the word going around is that Lashley was injured going into the match and that Kennedy's "target the shoulder" offense was merely to create a storyline background for a preexisting injury.

The star has been pushing through shoulder pain since first hurting himself at WWE Backlash. Dr. James Andrews initially looked at his shoulder in May, but it was decided at the time that he was able to continue working.

Bobby Lashley Injured at Backlash

It was announced on WWE.com this afternoon that former ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley suffered a shoulder injury at Backlash Sunday night in Atlanta. He is currently in Birmingham, Alabama awaiting diagnoses from Dr. James Andrews. Below is the official article:

Former ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley is in Birmingham, Ala. today waiting to meet with renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews to have his shoulder examined after suffering an injury during last night’s 3-on-1 Handicap Match at Backlash.

Lashley lost the championship last night to Mr. McMahon after the Chairman, Shane McMahon and Umaga overwhelmed him during the Handicap Match. It has been suggested that Lashley's shoulder injury has been lingering since WrestleMania 23. Lashley may have further aggravated the injury during his match last night. WWE.com will give more updates as they become available.

Dr. Andrews is respected as the preeminent physician athletes seek when they suffer sports injuries. He has performed surgery on Triple H after “The Game” tore his quadriceps muscles on two separate occasions.

A Salute to Bobby Lashley
