WWE Rumors: Jeff Hardy's Return

As all WWE fans know by now, Jeff Hardy is serving a 60-day suspension for his second Wellness Policy violation. In a possible hint toward his return, though, a RAW house show in the Pan American Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico is advertising the following matches June 20:

  • John Cena vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Championship
  • DX vs. Umaga & Snitsky
  • Chris Jericho vs. Mr. Kennedy for the Intercontinental Championship
  • Jeff Hardy vs. Lance Cade

Take this rumor with a grain of salt the size of The Big Show, however. Remember: cards are always subject to change.

Jeff Hardy's House Burns Down

It's been an awful week for Jeff Hardy.

First, the WWE star was suspended 60 days for violating the company's wellness policy.

Now, we've learned that his home in Cameron, North Carolina burned to the ground last night. Hardy lost all his possessions, and his dog even died in the blaze.

According to Jim Ross, Hardy and his girlfriend were not home at the time. Jeff's brother, Matt, saw smoke coming from the home, but was too late to do anything about it.

Jim Ross Comments on Jeff Hardy Suspension

Count Jim Ross among those shocked and saddened by the latest Jeff Hardy suspension. Here's what the main WWE announcers had to say in his official blog:

Jeff Hardy Picture"The 60 day suspension, without pay, for a second violation of the WWE Wellness Program of Jeff Hardy is making headlines on several fronts. This is Jeff’s second strike and with one more he is out of the WWE, which would be a terrible waste of talent and opportunity.

To say I am disappointed in these recent events would be an understatement and for those of us who have long believed in Jeff and have pulled for him throughout his career, these self inflicted wounds are especially distressing. For any one to accurately predict what the future holds for Jeff is nothing more than speculation. Only Jeff can determine those answers but the one thing a talent can ill afford to lose is the company’s trust they work for.

Obviously trust has to be an issue at this point in time between the WWE and Jeff Hardy. I can remembering sharing with Shawn Michaels many years ago during one of his darkest periods that I still believed in Shawn and, luckily for all involved, HBK made it back to the WWE a better man and is a bigger asset today for the WWE than he was in his prime. Jeff is still a young man and can still be a big time player in the WWE if Jeff so chooses.

Interesting days lie ahead for Jeff Hardy and I for one hope he is able to address his issues, take responsibility for his actions, and get back on the road to happiness and success."

WWE Reaction to Jeff Hardy

Few wrestlers on the WWE roster have much sympathy for Jeff Hardy. Most feel he's simply blown his chance at a big push within the company.

"He doesn't take anything seriously and doesn't seem to care that he is his own worse enemy," said a former WWE star. "He thinks rules don't apply to him and lives in a completely different world than the rest of us. If he hasn't gotten the message by now, he never will."

As noted earlier, Hardy has been removed from Wrestlemania. Moreover, another violation of WWE's Wellness policy will result in Jeff Hardy being released from the company.

Suspended!

Jeff Hardy Suspended for Wellness Policy Violation

Huge, breaking WWE news:

Jeffy Hardy PhotoWWE.com has just issued the following announcement on their official website:

In accordance with its Substance Abuse and Drug Testing Policy, WWE has suspended Jeff Hardy for 60 days, for his second violation of the company’s policy.

It should be noted that one more violation of WWE's Wellness policy will result in Jeff Hardy's manditory release from the company.

Jeff has been removed from the Wrestlemania preview on WWE.com and will not be participating in the Money In The Bank match at the event.

Several WWE stars were informed of the suspension backstage at RAW last night. Hence, why Hardy dropped the Intercontinental title to Chris Jericho on the show.

OUCH! What a major blow to the company and idiotic move by Hardy. He was on the verge of a major push. Talk about it now in our forum.

Jeff Hardy Speaks on Royal Rumble Match, Push

Jeff Hardy appeared on the Between the Ropes radio show today. He was asked about his upcoming match at the Royal Rumble with Randy Orton:

“By far it is. As an individual single wrestler by far it is, because this is the closest I’ve ever been to being the WWE Champion. I would say that in itself makes it the biggest match of my career.”

Hardy admited he was too mentally exhausted and immature to hold such a main event position earlier in his career.

“A lot of people saw me as being this huge star back then, but at the time I was just so burned out and tired of wrestling and I just had to get away from it for a while. And that was my feeling then, I just really didn’t feel ready for it.

So I really did need to grow and mature with myself to be ready for a position like this, and the time away and coming back and having such a great return has really done a lot for me, and it made me feel ready for all the pressure that comes along with a position like this.”

Jim Ross Blogs About Jeffy Hardy Push

Jeffy Hardy PhotoAs Jeffy Hardy gets ready for his title shot against Randy Orton at the Royal Rumble this Sunday, Jim Ross has written about the high-flyer's push in his latest blog entry:

Jeff Hardy reminds me of only a few wrestlers who simply got white hot in a matter of weeks and is seemingly only a few steps away from establishing residency in the Promised Land.

The question always is for any athlete is that once one gets there, how long can one stay on hallowed ground?

For the naysayers who are adamant that Hardy will not win Sunday at MSG, I simply say stay tuned as we are in unpredictable waters and Jeff Hardy winning the WWE Title in Madison Square Garden would be one of those lasting “moments” that would live for years.

Hardy may be the underdog Sunday, but so were the NY Giants last Sunday in Green Bay. Just throwing it out there.
