Hulk Hogan Talks About Chris Benoit

Hulk Hogan was shocked when Chris Benoit murdered his wife, Nancy, and son, Daniel, 7, then committed suicide the weekend of June 23.

“He was peaceful and kept to himself,” Hogan told Us Magazine.

Hogan and Benoit Hogan, who last saw Benoit in March, says he wonders what pushed the wrestler over the edge. He can only come up with this theory:

"I think it had to be something personal, a domestic problem between him and his wife."

And Hogan tells US the wrestler’s wife, Nancy Benoit, had a dark side.

“She was into devil-worship stuff. It was part of her [wrestling] character, but [she was] somebody who gets so close to their character, someone who gets into their character too much. Sometimes these people believe their own publicity.”

Eric Bischoff Blogs About Hulk Hogan

Eric Bischoff recently wrote the following about Hulk Hogan:

Another thing that stays the same is the fascination of the Japanese public with Hulk Hogan. I’ve had the opportunity to travel around the world with some of the biggest names in sports entertainment over the past decade. Not taking anything away from any of them, but none get the kind of reaction from the general public and from wrestling fans that Hogan gets.

Maybe its because he’s so hard to miss, maybe its because Hogan reminds fans of all ages of some of the best periods of professional wrestling, or maybe its just his “charisma”, but whatever the reason, the reaction to Hulk Hogan last month in Tokyo was as strong as I’ve seen.

Hulk Hogan Update: Not Going to TNA Wrestling

Hulk Hogan was in Japan to promote Brooke's CD "Undiscovered." During a press conference in Japan, more than 100 reporters asked questions of Hogan and Antonio Inoki. And Hogan said that he has decided against working for TNA.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, TNA Wrestling sources claim Hogan has been in talks with the company for several weeks. Hulk also said he would never go back to WWE, as he claims that Vince McMahon told him he couldn't afford to pay him his main event money.

Hogan also expressed an interest in wrestling for Inoki's new IGF promotion. At the press conference Inoki said IGF is talking to Lyoto Machida, Tadao Yasuda, Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar and Paul "The Big Show" Wight.

Hulk Hogan Defends Marriage

What'cha gonna do, Hulk Hogan, when tabloids run wild on you and your marriage?!?

The star is gonna defend himself.

The Hulkster swears there’s nothing fake about the strength of his marriage. Denying reports that he and his wife, Linda, are talking divorce, Hulk told Us Magazine: “I’m happily married, and everything is cool.”

Hogan's remarks come after the New York Post reported the Hogans’ marriage has taken a beating after 20 years, with the pair fighting over child-rearing issues and feeling the strain of filming a reality show, VH1’s Meet the Hogans.

Linda has reportedly also gotten irritated with the 53-year-old Hulk’s desire to get back in the WWE ring because she’s worried he’ll get hurt.

Hulk Hogan Recap from Bubba the Love Sponge Radio Show

Thanks to Jagger K and PWInsider.com for the following recap of Hulk Hogan's appearance on Bubba The Love Sponge's show:

Hogan and his WifeHulk Hogan discussed his upcoming match with Jerry Lawler in Memphis and said it was going to be the last event ever at the Mid-South Coliseum, but due to demand they moved it to a larger venue. Hulk said he doubted he would sell it out because it is only a few weeks away but wants to do a lot more than the 4,000 Vince draws there.

Other names mentioned as possibilities for appearing were Ed Leslie (yes, he'll be there) and Brian Knobbs (no, he won't). Bubba kidded about Randy Savage and Hogan said its time to bury the hatchet and he would love Randy to be involved. Hogan kidded Savage would need to dye his har black because its full gray. Bubba said if Hogan was serious that he would mediate it and Hogan said to do it and that Randy is a great guy who was going through personal issues.

Hogan used the F-bomb towards Vince McMahon and was obviously pissed that he felt Vince mocked Brooke with Jillian Hall doing a Brooke-type character on Smackdown. Bubba admitted he was the one that told Hulk about the character.

Hulk Hogan Lays Into Vince, Discusses Wrestlemania and More

Hulk Hogan appeared again on Bubba the Love Sponge Sirius radio show yesterday. Jagger K sent the following notes to PWInsider.com:

- Talked about the stress on filming Hogan Knows Best and that the most recent episode was based around Hogan and his wife going to a marriage counselor.

- They talked about both Brooke Hogan's singing career and Nick's racing career.

- Hogan said his family's American Express bill for last month was over $300,000 alone.

- Talked about Hogan thinking about promoting a "Hulkamania World Tour" on his own. Hogan said t would be a mix of recognized talent and new stars. He claimed he would pay them more than anybody else would and said: "It would be similar to The Harlem Globetrotters," as far as touring and name recognition.

- Hogan said he was not interested in competing, but felt he could sell out arenas on his name alone and that fans want names not wrestlers they do not know. Hogan then said he was getting in shape and wants to wrestle, contradicting his previous statement.

- Discussed Wrestlemania 23 and how Hulk wishes he could be part of it, but Bubba said "Vince was being a d**k." Hulk put over Vince in the ring and said after Wrestlemania 19, he proposed working with Vince in a hair vs. hair match and now Vince is doing it with Trump.

Hulk Hogan on Wrestlemania 23, TNA Wrestling and More

Hulk Hogan made an appearance on Bubba the Love Sponge’s satellite radio show yesterday afternoon; below are a few highlights from the appearence, courtesy of the PWInsider.com:

Hulk Hogan - Hogan promoted the latest video on VH-1 of Brooke Hogan and asked the “Bubba Army” to vote for it on the channel.

- In regard to him making an appearance at WrestleMania 23 he replied, “No way." Hogan claimed that McMahon told him that WWE has changed and there is no longer just one "it" performer anymore, but a number of "it guys" on top. Hogan continued to say that McMahon said that Hogan cannot take "the bulk of the money" anymore and that is where the problem is. Hogan's side was that he would deserve the biggest payday and Vince felt that others deserved it.

- Hogan said the pop he received when wrestling at last year's Summerslam against Randy Orton was huge and that it couldn't be followed except for "maybe one guy" although he didn't specify who that was.

- When asked whether he sees TNA Wrestling as an option, he responded he may have "other things up his sleeve" and then hinted at having his own company. When asked who he would want to start a company with, he mentioned Big Show, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash's names.

- Hogan claimed that he never signed the 20 year contract offered to him by WWE, but that "Steve Austin signed a lifetime deal."

- Hogan finished the call by saying that he wished he could be at Wrestlemania 23, but could not get paid like the other "it guys" Vince has on top of the roster.

Britney Spears Does Her Hulk Hogan Impression

Sort of.

By now, you've probably read all about Britney Spears shaving her head. As a result, numerous blogs have taken the liberty of imagining the troubled pop star in new looks once her hair grows back.

For example, there's the Hulk Hogan style seen here. What do you think of it?

Britney … Hogan?

All we can say is that if this leads to a bra and panties match between Britney and Brooke Hogan, we're all for it!
