To begin ECW, Mark Henry comes down to the ring accompanied by Tony Atlas. Tazz asks why last week’s events went down as they did. Atlas says that he would graciously carry Mark Henry’s bags, much to the crowd’s booing.

Hardys

Atlas invites a young man from the crowd in to see if he can bend a frying pan. Ted, as he seems to be named, tries and fails. Mark Henry contorts the frying pan into a roll. That is actually quite impressive.

- Mike Knox beat Shannon Moore. Knox used his nameless finisher and scored the pin.

- Evan Bourne pinned Chavo Guerrero (w/Bam Neely). Before the match, a pretaped Evan promo aired. He said he'll defy the odds in this match because he defies gravity. Ugh. Evan tried to go up top early, but Chavo caught him and knocked him off the top rope. Bourne took a nice bump by slamming his head into the ring apron on the way down. Shooting star press ends it.

Backstage, Colin Delaney walked talking Teddy's assistant when Henry and Atlas interrupted. Atlas told Colin he didn't have to worry because they knew he had nothing to do with what happened earlier. Henry walked away, but it was too good to be true for Colin. Henry stormed back into the picture and choked Delaney.

Matt and Jeff Hardy beat John Morrison and The Miz in a non-title match. Plenty of Hardy chants from the women and kids in the crowd. After some back and forth action, the show cut to commercial. The tag champs worked over Jeff for a while until he made the hot tag to Matt.

The match really picked up down the stretch. Matt hit a crucifix powerbomb on Morrison for a nearfall. Miz ran in and was greeted with the Side Effect. Morrison recovered and performed Moonlight Drive on Matt. Jeff came off the top with a Swanton Bomb on Morrison and Matt scored the pin for his team..

Last night, on ECW...

John Morrison and The Miz head towards the ring for the first segment of the night. Morrison introduces himself and states that he isn’t giving any hurricane relief to the crowd. Finlay comes out says that nobody wants to hear what they want to say. Miz and Morrison turn around and Hornswoggle sprays them with a water gun. Hornswoggle rolls out of the ring. Miz and Morrison recover and chase after him. Morrison runs right into Finlay who gives him a clothesline while Miz runs his way up the ramp.

Finlay vs. The Miz
Finlay whips Miz into the corner and goes for a clothesline. Miz moves out of the way and rolls Finlay up for a pin attempt for a two count. Miz whips Finlay into a corner and hits a shining wizard. The referee pulled Miz back away from Finlay and the Miz starts to complain.

Finlay grabs the Shillelagh and Morrison sees Finlay and takes the Shillelagh away from Finlay. Hornswoggle comes to Finlay’s aide and dropkicks Morrison on the face and helps Finlay out. Miz grabs a hold of Hornswoggle but Finlay sets Miz up for the Celtic cross. Finlay goes for the pin and gets the three count!
Winner: Finlay

We cut backstage. Teddy Long and Tiffany start to talk. Armando comes in the room demanding his job back. Braden Walker - formerly Chris Harris from TNA Wrestling - walks into the room and Teddy states that he will get another chance to get it back and all he has to do is beat Walker.

Braden Walker vs. Armando Estrada

Braden gets to the top rope and connects with a diving cross body. Braden goes for the pin and gets the three count.
Winner: Braden Walker

Match rating: The match was great and pretty good to watch. I think that Braden is going to be a great addition to the ECW roster and will continue to improve. The match gets 2.5 out of 5 stars.

We cut backstage. Tony Atlas and Long talk backstage. Long offers Atlas to be the special ring announcer to the main event tonight for some extra cash and Atlas accepts.

Evan Bourne vs. Nunzio
Bourne gets to the top rope and hits a shooting star press and gets the three count.

Winner: Evan Bourne

Our thanks to PWTorch.com, here are last night's ECW results...

The Big Show vs. Tommy Dreamer

The Big Show Show dominated the first two minutes until Dreamer took out the knee with a dropkick. Dreamer tried a move from the second rope, but Show smashed him in mid-air with a double axehandle to the face. Show then finished him off with a big chokeslam for the pin and the win.

Winner: Big Show

Ringside: Shelton Benjamin was with Adamle and Tazz to discuss his one-on-one victory over Kofi last week. They showed clips of Shelton's match and then Kofi Kingston came to the ring, prompting a "Jamaican me crazy" line from Adamle. How original.

Mike Knox vs. Kofi Kingston
Kofi jumped around the ring to start things off, but Knox quickly grounded him with power offense. Kofi fought back with a series of kicks, then he nailed a forearm smash that busted open Knox hard-way around the left eye. Knox missed with a corner splash and took a back soccer kick to the face, then Kofi nailed the Jamaican buzzsaw kick to the head for the win.

Post-match: Shelton tried to jump Kofi, but Kofi fought back. They had a brawl in the ring with Kofi on the advantage until Knox clotheslined Kofi from behind and nailed the Knox Out corkscrew facebuster to silence Kingston

CM Punk vs. Chavo Guerrero
Punk teased the G2S in the opening seconds, which sent Chavo to the floor to regroup. Punk much more charismatic tonight to start things off. Certainly helps that he can get a little shine in the opening minutes rather than instantly taking a beating in a match. Chavo then cut off Punk and slapped on a chinlock. They suddenly cut to break.

Last night, on ECW...

The Miz defeated Kane by disqualification in a non-title match. Miz said he had a headache and concussion because he was chokeslammed to the floor at Judgment Day. He called himself the co-star of the “highest rated show on WWE.com.” He said he would do tonight what Morrison will do at One Night Stand: beat Kane.

Kane hit the top rope closeline. He tried for the Chokeslam but was unable to pull it off. He put Miz in the tree of woe, exited the ring, and pulling on Miz’s neck. The referee disqualified Kane because he did not break the count.

Shelton Benjamin defeated Kofi Kingston. Kofi was seated on top of Shelton in an Electric Chair position, but reversed it into what could best be described as a one legged hurricarana.

Kofi jumped onto Shelton in the corner, but Shelton carried Kofi and dropped him leg first on the top turnbuckle. He worked on the injured leg. Kofi hit a huge dropkick but it did more harm than good. Shelton turned the “Boom Boom Boom” into a schoolboy for a nearfall. Kofi tried the Trouble in Paradise but missed and Shelton hit his finisher, sort of a jumping Mic Check, for the pin.

Colin Delaney and Kelly Kelly defeated Mike Knox and Layla. Layla threw Kelly Kelly over the ropes, but she sort of skinned the cat, grabbing Layla with a head scissors and pulling her to the outside. Knox came in and threw Colin about 25 feet into the air. Out of nowhere, Kelly pinned Layla.

Here's a rundown of ECW on Sci-Fi last night...

The Miz defeated CM Punk. Late in the match, Punk went for the GTS, but Miz slipped out and hit the Reality Check for the win. Afterward, Morrison walked onto the stage and hugged Miz.

Kelly Kelly and Michelle McCool and Cherry defeated Victoria and Natalya and Layla. There were some good spots when Michelle and Victoria were in the ring together. In the end, Cherry rolled up a distracted Victoria for the surprise win.

Backstage, Lena Yada interviewed Shelton Benjamin, who said Kofi Kingston "walks around with a horseshoe stuck where the sun don't shine and I'm going to pull it out." Kofi confronted Shelton. Benjamin shoved Kofi, who responded with a weird looking shoulder tackle that left Benjamin lying on the ground.

Mike Knox squashed Colin Delaney. Colin finally got his entrance music. The match was all Knox, who finished off Delaney with his finisher. Afterward, Armando walked out and announced that he had just signed himself to a lucrative wrestling contract. He kicked Colin and demanded that the referee ring the bell to start their match.

Armando Estrada defeated Colin Delaney. Adamle referred to Armando as "the calculating Cuban." Quick squash. Delaney was bleeding from the nose after the match.

John Morrison (w/The Miz) defeated Kane in a non-title match. Miz was a nuisance to Kane early on, so CM Punk walked to ringside to stand in the corner of his Judgment Day partner just before the break.  Morrison worked over the left knee injury that Kane has been selling ever since Chavo attacked it with a chair the week before Backlash.

Tazz welcomed us to the show. Then, Tony Chimel announced the new voice of ECW, Mike Adamle. Tazz said Adamle left the set last week, and he left in support. Adamle briskly walked to the ring, took the mic and said he lost his cool and he needs to apologize.

First, he apologized to Tazz. Adamle also apologized to the "great ECW fans.. He said he's been a broadcaster probably longer than a lot of people have been alive.

Adamle said he's made mistakes, and he's the first to admit it. Adamle said there are wrestlers who aren't shy about letting him know when he sucks. He said he loves WWE, ECW, and he wants to bring the best possible product to the ECW fans. He thanked the fans for listening, and the fans booed. Is this really a story line now? The fans hating on an announcer?

Tommy Dreamer vs. Mike Knox: Extreme Rules
Knox pulled out weapons, but Dreamer surprised him with a trash can blow with a dropkick. Adamle said Dreamer is trying to send Knox to the penalty box. Groan. Dreamer tossed the shopping cart into the ring, then he landed a basement dropkick sending the cart into Knox's head. Dreamer went under the ring and grabbed a "picnic table", as Adamle called it. He tried to bulldog Knox through the table, but Knox countered with a suplex through the table for a two count. Dreamer tried a comeback, but Knox nailed the turnout facebuster for the win.
WINNER: Knox

Kelly Kelly Expose: Kelly Kelly was in the ring for an old school Expose dance number. She was in an all-black Catwoman number and danced for a while, until Layla interrupted and tried to one-up her in the dancing category. Kelly had enough and slapped Layla hard across the face. A cat fight ensued with Kelly landing some clean blows..

Kofi Kingston vs. Matt Striker
Kofi landed the boom-boom leg drop in the opening minute for a nearfall. Suddenly, Striker tried to launch Kofi into the ropes, but Kofi did a torpedo-like rebound into the Buzzsaw kick on Striker. He covered Striker for the win. Afterward, Shelton stormed the ring and attacked Kofi. He laid him out, then left the ring very pleased with himself.
WINNER: Kofi

Colin Delaney vs. Armando Estrada
Armando slapped on a reverse chinlock, which Colin fought out of until Armando yanked him down by the hair. Colin came back with a dropkick, then Armando yanked him to the apron. Armando followed with a hard forearm across the chest, but he got too cocky. Colin then slipped under the ropes and sunset flip pinned Armando for a surprise three count to earn his ECW contract.
WINNER: Colin

CW champion Kane and CM Punk vs. Chavo Guerrero and Bam Neely
Bam and Chavo kept working on CM Punk until Chavo smacked Kane to upset him. Kane feigned attacking Chavo, but he returned to his corner to wait for a tag. Punk finally made a comeback with a springboard forearm blow, which prompted Adamle's "Have mercy" line that Miz and Morrison quickly pounded on. Kane then took the hot tag at 12:00 to a big pop, and he cleaned house. Kane smacked Bam off the apron, then he launched Chavo up and over the top rope to the floor.

Chavo then caught Kane in the knee out of nowhere, and Kane quickly tagged out to Punk. Four men on commentary and they all went silent. Punk had the pin on Chavo, but Bam broke it up. Kane then brushed off Chavo setting up Punk with a perfect Go 2 Sleep on Chavo.
WINNERS: Punk & Kane

Last night on ECW, awful announcer Mike Adamle walked out of the broadcast. Seriously. Here's what else went down...

Kofi Kingston defeated Shelton Benjamin. Adamle said Kofi “has yet to lose in the ECW.” Make him stop, someone. Benjamin had complete control early. At 2:25, Shelton attempted a superplex, but Kofi pushed him off. He hit a high cross body for a nearfall on Benjamin. Shelton charged at Kofi in the corner, but Kofi hit the roundhouse kick for the clean pinfall victory. Adamle called it a big upset.

Mike Knox defeated Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer was on offense early, but Knox quickly took over, working on the back and neck of Dreamer. Delaney got too close to the action, and Knox threw him into the outside steps. Dreamer hit a dropkick to Knox on the outside, but Knox regained the offensive advantage. Knox hit his finishing move for an uneventful pinfall victory.

Matt Striker (with classroom set) stood in the middle of the ring and sounded like a thesaurus. Striker mentioned Adamle, as well. He is not safe from anyone. Striker gave Mick Foley a nice introduction. Striker said we were all “privy” to Foley’s in-ring accomplishments. Foley plugged his books and his relationship with Katie Couric. Striker said Foley had a face suited for radio and not television. He made fun of his smile, ear, hair, and physical appearance.

Foley brought out Mr. Socko. He then gave Striker the Mandible Claw. His music played and he threw Socko to Adamle. Adamle said, “A lot of people would like me to keep this in my mouth.” Tazz said, “You’re right.”

C.M. Punk defeated Chuck Palumbo by DQ. Palumbo hit a big body slam, but CM Punk recovered, utilizing his kickboxing skills. Palumbo regained the advantage, hitting a few powerful moves, including a back suplex for a nearfall. Palumbo wore down Punk with a rear chinlock followed by multiple knees to the lower back. Tazz said Punk had to “find his way out of the box.” Palumbo continued to hammer Punk in the corner and the referee called for the bell.

Chavo Guerrero and Bam Neely defeated Kane. For some reason, Mike Adamle left the broadcast booth. After Kane’s entrance, Tazz was instructed to leave the booth as well. Weird.

Neely pulled Kane off the apron, which allowed both men to work on Kane’s leg. Nice use of exploiting a previous injury. Too bad there is no announcer to tell us that. Chavo continued to work on Kane’s leg as Kane tried to use his power to fight him off.

In the corner, Kane tried a two-handed chokeslam, but his leg gave out. Kane recovered though to hit a backdrop and side suplex for a nearfall. Neely tagged in and Kane obliterated him with shots to the body, followed by another side suplex.

Kane went to the top rope and hit the closeline on Bam. He brought Chavo in the ring and attempted a chokeslam on him, but Bam took out his leg. Chavo hit a frogsplash for the win.
