WWE Results: Monday Night Raw, 7-14-08
Here's what went down on WWE Raw last night...
Shane and Stephanie McMahon address the chaos over the past two weeks on RAW. They want everyone to work together.
Fron there, we immediately cut to Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho beating on each other in front of the ring. As soon as the refs get them separated, the arena explodes with pyro and Kane walks to the ring. Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler stand up and look ready to run, as Kane makes his way to the announce table holding a bag. Kane looks at the two announcers and says he is sorry.
Mickie James vs. Katie Lea Burchill w/Paul Burchill
Mickie James wins with a flying Thesz press.
Kofi Kingston vs. Paul Burchill
Kofi Kingston hits his big leg drop on Burchill who is laid out in the center of the ring. Katie Lea gets up on the apron, but Mickie James pulls her down and they fight at ringside. Kofi hits his spin kick on Burchill to get the pinfall and the win.

Back from commercial, Kane is backstage with CM Punk. Kane says deep down inside, he knows he is dead. He tells Punk that they have been partners before, but tonight he needs him in the ring one-on-one. Punk says he has a huge match in a few days. Kane says it's not about the title, he needs this. Punk says he needs to prove to everyone that he is not a fluke and says Kane is on, he's got his match. Punk asks Kane what's with the bag he's holding? Kane just laughs and walks off.
Santino Marella vs. Beth Phoenix
Beth slams Marella to the mat. Santino recovers, and charges Phoenix in the corner. Beth dodges it and then rolls up Santino. Beth Phoenix gets the three count.
Kelly Kelly comes to the ring for a match, but instead of an opponent, Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase come to the ring. They tell her they don’t care she had a match, and tell her to leave. Cody says he and Ted aren’t bad, they are realistic. Ted says they are the future whether you like it or not. Hacksaw Jim Duggan interrupts the champs.
He comes to the ring with something to say from the heart. Hacksaw says he has always respected the people that paved the way. As performers they are great, but they have to grow up. Hacksaw is about to leave, but Cody wants him to stick around. Cody says he sees a 54 year old guy in gym shorts trying to relive the glory days, but those glory days weren’t that glorious. Ted asks Duggan if he thinks he has what it takes to be a champion. Ted says Duggan is pathetic and needs to grow up.
Kane vs. CM Punk
CM Punk goes for the GTS, but can't lift Kane. Kane grabs his throat for the choke slam but Punk blocks it by kicking Kane. Punk ends up getting knocked to the floor outside the ring as Kane follows. Punk throws Kane into the ringpost as the ref counts down. Punk comes off the apron and drops Kane on the floor with a bulldog. CM Punk makes it back in the ring at the count of 9 as the referee counts out Kane.
After the match, Kane flips out again and starts throwing chairs and stuff into the ring. Kane enters the ring as the referee runs off. Kane attacks Punk and starts pummeling him. He puts a steel chair around Punk's neck and climbs the top rope. Batista's music hits and he charges the ring, dropping Kane with a spear. Batista grabs the steel chair and hits Kane in the head with it, sending him to the floor. Batista picks Punk up to his feet. Punk extends his hand to Batista. Batista tells him he's not his friend and saved him because he wants him healthy this Sunday.
Chris Jericho vs. Paul London
London gets caught on the ropes as Jericho continues to punish him and taunt him. London manages to hit a spin kick on Jericho and another kick to the face. London misses a plancha move off the rope and Jericho runs him over with a big clothesline. Jericho continues to beat on London and starts talking trash to Shawn Michaels. Jericho locks on the Walls of Jericho for the victory.
John Cena and Cryme Tyme vs. JBL, Cody Rhodes, and Ted Dibiase
After the break, Rhodes is facing off with Shad. JBL gets the tag, and knocks John Cena off the apron. JBL connects with a short-arm clothesline. Cody tags in and slams into Shad's arm from the top. Shad blocks a bulldog, but Rhodes is up first knocking Cena off the apron. Dibiase tags back in, peppering Shad with punches. Shad gets back to his feet, and Cody is back in the ring. Cody misses a moonsault, allowing Cena to get the hot tag. Cena takes down Rhodes with shoulder blocks and clotheslines.
Dibiase is slammed to the mat and gets the five knuckle shuffle. JBL takes off, and Dibiase is F-U’ed. Cena follows with a throwback on Rhodes, and then a flying leg drop. Cena locks in the STF-U, before Rhodes can tap JBL kicks Cena in the head, getting disqualified.
Winner via DQ: John Cena and Cryme Tyme
JBL walks away, but Cena gives chase. JBL takes off through the back into the parking lot. Cena follows, cautiously. Cena can’t find JBL, but decides to investigate a little further. JBL jumps Cena with a tire iron, and sets him up against a parked car. Bradshaw gets into his car and attempts to ram Cena, but when the car hits, Cena is gone. JBL looks at the damage and the show goes to black.
