WWE Raw Rating: Not Impressive

This week's edition of WWE Raw earned a 3.2 cable rating, down from the 3.5 of the last few weeks and back to where the show was doing before the draft.

The show did hours of 3.11 and 3.29. Keep in mind, however, that it was up against the popular Major League Baseball Home Run Derby.

Raw hasn't been impressive. The ratings are down for one reason: The Draft.

Now usually I look forward to the draft; but this year was a disappointment. Having CM Punk as World Champion is like having RAW and ECW trade time slots. Of course the rating are gonna drop.

Plus there are no good rivalries. Not only on RAW, but for every brand. What happen to the cheating diva rivalry (remember Edge, Lita, and Matt)? What would really be cool is to have Mickie James go back to her psychotic character and have a fatal attraction rivalry between her and Cena.

In my opinion, I think JBL should be World Champion. Remember when he was Champion on Smackdown and had that entourage called "The Cabinet". Obviously the roster's changed since then; but RAW would get better ratings if JBL not only holds the World Championship but have Ron Simmon, Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase, Jr. in his entourage.

And I know it's a long shot, but bring back Shane McMahon--on the active roster. Call me crazy, but a lot of my favorite hardcore matches over the years involved Shane McMahon.

I have been a fan of RAW since it started. Hell, I watch RAW for than Monday Night Football. But it's odd that I'm looking forward to Smackdown more than RAW.
