Former WWE creative team member Seth Mates has listed the matches he'd book for WrestleMania 25.
Taken from his latest blog, here's how Mates would current set up the card. Let us know your thoughts on his proposed matches...
Triple H vs. Edge -- I'd put the title on Edge at the Great American Bash and then keep it on him til WrestleMania 25. Let HHH play the role of babyface in the chase. I actually LOVE the storyline of Triple H getting screwed by the wrestler who's dating the boss; substitute "everyone else" where I just said "Triple H" and you've got the story of WWE for the past six years.
John Cena vs. Batista -- No title on the line here. You don't need one. I'd build this feud by having these two guys be CM Punk's challengers for the titles, and they cost each other those matches. I'd start it at the Bash -- Batista loses somehow, then Cena tries to jump in as the next challenger. Batista's angry, says he still deserves another shot, but Cena gets the shot, say at SummerSlam. Batista costs Cena the match at SSlam. Go to Survivor Series with a Triple Threat, then to the Rumble, which neither guy wins. Maybe they eliminate each other.
Batista's the natural heel, though I've been advocating for a Cena heel turn for months now. But if they keep these guys apart until Mania, this match has a VERY big-time feel to it.
CM Punk vs. Randy Orton -- Yes, I'm advocating keeping the title on Punk for this long. Heel first-time champions can usually have pretty short title reigns (Triple H, Edge) and get over, but babyfaces (Hogan, Warrior, Diesel, Cena, Batista) need some time to make the fans believe in them. Punk has a natural charisma and confidence that will make people rally behind him.
Orton, on the other hand, is the most natural heel in the business. I don't know what I'd do with the finish of this match, but if they do move forward with a third-generation faction, Orton as World Champ seems like a natural choice to lead it.

I like the CM Punk v. Orton match and the Cena v. Batista match, but I'm not as high on the Edge v. Tripple H match, I think an even juicier match would be Undertaker v. Tripple H maybe without the WWE championship on the line to make it even better would be a Hell in a Cell match. As for the WWE Championship I think a great match would be Edge and Jeff Hardy with Edge holding the Championship that match would be very nostalgic but also bring back an old rivalry at a newer level.

I so glad that Wrestlemania will be in Texas this year. Wrestlemania has been the best sports entertainment event in the history of wrestling. Unfortunatly, WWE never comes to West Texas. I guess the the WWE promoters dont think to highly about the fans in the rural area's. Nontheless, fans in West Texas can't be ignored that much longer. TNA comes to the Ector County Coliseum everyonce in a while. The live TNA event that come to Odessa Texas, give diehard wrestling fans like myself an escape from the small city atmosphere. TNA obviously isnt better then WWE, but its better then nothing.

I bet that there will be a money in the bank ladder match at Wrestlemania this year. Kane will win it.

i would like to see the wwe championship on the line in a fatal-4 way between jeff hardy, triple h, edge, and the undertaker.edge is the winner of the 2009 royal rumble.but jeff hardy and triple h also earn their way into the main event.but the undertaker wins by the skin of his teeth to retain his wwe championship.
then i would like to see the world heavyweight championship on the line between john cena and batista. cena will return from his injury he recieved from batista, and earn his way through to become number one contender.the match will steal the show. but cena will prevail over batista to win his first ever world heavyweight championship.
i also would like to see the ecw championship on the line between matt hardy and finlay in an extreme rules match. i am counting on matt hardy to hold on to his title this long.but finlay pulls off the win in this match.
and then i would like to see the great khali take on umaga. though nobody can predict this right off the top of their head, but i think umaga will barely win.
i would also like to see cm punk take on shawn michaels.this match going to be straight out of respect, no rivalry. i think this match is supposed to prove what is better old school or new school.although this will be close. michaels will prove that he is still mr.wrestlemania.
then i would like to see a raw vs smackdown vs ecw triple threat match, instead of just being raw vs smackdown like past wrestlemania events. i want to see randy orton representing raw, big show representing smackdown, and mark henry representing ecw.i think that it isnt goin to be that good, but i think orton will sneak in the win, and win it for raw.
then i would want to see the money in the bank ladder match this year at wrestlemania. i want to see rey mysterio, kofi kingston, evan bourne,john morrison,the miz, the brian kendrick, shelton benjerman, and mvp. this isnt going to be the best money in the bank ladder match ever but it will be pretty good. and i think that rey mysterio will use his high flying and risk taking ability to pull out the victory in this match.
i would also like to see a bra and panties match for the womens championship and the divas championship in a title unification match.the womens champion candice michelle take on divas champion michelle mccool. and i think that michelle mccool will win this one.
i would absolutly love to see vladimir kolslov get the competition he has been asking for, i am expecting koslov to remain undefeated all the way to wrestlemania. i want to see koslov go one on one with the big red machine kane. this match will be devastating and very close.but i think kane will show koslov that he isnt the only dominant force in the wwe. kane wins.
and i also predict to see chris jericho take on lance cade. this will be one good rivalry heading into wrestlemania. lance cade will leave jericho, strictly because of ego.thus it will really good match jericho will sneak in the win.
i will also like to see jbl take on bobby lashley for the IC championship in a texas bullrope match. i think that from now until wrestlemania jbl will obtain the IC championship.and i also think that somewhere along the line bobby lashley will return. and focus on championship gold, thus challenging jbl. but jbl chooses his own match, a texas bullrope match. i think bobby lashley will prove to be just a little too much for jbl even at his own game.lashley wins the ic championship.
and this would be my most anticipated match. hulk hogan one on one with stone cold steve austin. this match will be the biggest match of the night. it will be a back and forth kind of match. but in the end, stone cold will be victorious.
this will be a good match card.

These are the matches i think mite happen at Wrestlmania 25-
Triple threat match for World Heavyweight title Chris Jericho v Randy Orton v John Cena. Orton wins the Royal Rumble to earn a shot and Cena wins the Elimanation Chamber Match at No Way Out while Jericho is already Champion.
wwe title match Jeff Hardy v the winner of the Elimanation Chamber at No Way Out which is Triple H. Jeff Hardy v HHH.
The Money in the Bank Ladder Match- Edge v William Regal v Shelton Benjiman v Evan Bourne v Rey Mysterio v MVP v Kofi Kingston v CM Punk.
ECW title- Matt Hardy opens a challenge to any superstar on the WWE roster and Kane challenge's him. Matt Hrdy v Kane.
Women title- Mickie James challenge's Beth Phoenix for the championship.
Big Show challenge's Vladimir Kozlov to see who is better.
Icon v Icon- Shawn Michaels v Undertaker.Shawn Michaels comes down to the ring and challenge's the Undertaker at Wreastlemania to make it one of the best matches in history, the Undertaker accepts.
And this match i hope does happen Batista says he's never faced UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesner and would like to invite him to face him at Wrestlemania 25. Lesner accepts and it is afficial. The Next Big Thing v The Animal.
Well that's it there the matches i think will happen at Wrestlemania 25, i hope you agree!

just sayin if your confused at No Way Out there are 2 Elimanation Chamber Matches. John Cena wins the Raw one and Triple H wins the Smackdown one. OK

i also agree with david, the HHH v Edge match would bore most fans to death!
