Wrestlemania 25 Plans Already in the Works

WWE has released the following announcement, pertaining to plans already underway for Wrestlemania 25...

Fresh off a tremendously successful WrestleMania XXIV in Orlando, World Wrestling Entertainment is already working with the Houston business community on WrestleMania XXV, which will be held on Sunday, April 5, 2009, at Houston’s Reliant Stadium, home to the NFL’s Houston Texans.

WWE executives and WWE’s most decorated Superstar, Ric Flair, traveled to Houston today to meet with local city officials and businesses, to begin preparations for this milestone event. Their collaborative agenda includes planning stadium production, discussing sponsorship opportunities and organizing citywide activities. The trip included a luncheon with more than 100 Houston business leaders and discussion of how their companies could integrate with sports entertainment’s biggest pop culture event.

For the past two years, WrestleMania has attracted fans from around the world, and infused up to $30 million into the local economies of host cities Detroit (WrestleMania XXIII) and Orlando.

The always anticipated WrestleMania weekend is expected to feature the 2009 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, the annual Bacon, Bagels and Biceps Brunch, the annual national WrestleMania Reading Challenge Finals, another wish granting initiative with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, visits to schools and libraries, local fundraisers and exciting opportunities to meet WWE Superstars and Divas at various public appearances.

“Fans in Houston can expect an up-close and personal experience when WrestleMania XXV comes to Texas next year,” said Geof Rochester, Executive Vice President, Marketing. “It’s going to be an amazing 25th Anniversary celebration.”

    i thick at wrestlemania 25 it will be john cena vs randy orton for the world heavywhagte championship and triple h vs edge for the wwe chapionship

    I think the followin matches mite happen at wrestlemania 25 -

    world title chris jericho v randy orton v john cena

    wwe title jeff hardy v HHH

    Undertaker v shawn michaels

    ecw title matt hardy v kane

    money in the bank ladder match- edge v william regal v shelton benjiman v mvp v rey mysterio v evan bourne v kofi kingston v cm punk

    womens title beth pheonix with santino marrela v mickie james

    big show v vladimir kozlov

    and this one i hope mite is batista challenging UFC heavyweight champion brock lesner. that would be awsum!

    Hi to all again.

    Another interesting match for Wrestlemania 25 will be
    Shawn Michaels vs Chris Jericho. I think with the following matches it would be a very interesting Wrestlemania:

    Shawn Michaels vs Chris Jericho.
    John Cena vs Batista.
    Bret Hart vs Stone Cold.
    The Undertaker vs Big Show in a steel cage match.
    Randy Orton vs Edge
    HHH vs Rey Mysterio 619
    Hulk Hogan vs Ric Flair

    Hi all, the match between 2 great wrestlers, Bret Hart and
    Stone Cold will be a very interesting match. Both wrestlers
    have done alot for the WWE and both deserve a final match at
    Wrestlemania 25. Another interesting match will be Batista vs
    John Cena. Both wrestlers are great and from John Cena's part,
    it surely will be an very interesting come back to WWE. Fighting
    against Batista will be a great come back, because everyone knows how great Batista is. Another wrestler involved at
    Wrestlemania 25 hope that will be the Undertaker maybe who
    knows it will be 17-0. The Undertaker vs Big Show one on one
    maybe in a steel cage would be a great match.
