WWE Diva News: Playboy, Torrie Wilson Out

  • Former Extreme Expose member Brooke has publicly came out and said she has big plans to do a Playboy shoot and will be working in TNA Wrestling soon. Late last summer, the idea was to have her Kelly Kelly, and Layla in Playboy right before WrestleMania 24. With Brooke being released these plans have obviously been scrapped.
  • Torrie Wilson is being held out of action for the next few weeks to receive physical therapy on her back that has been bothering her.

WWE Rumors: Ric Flair Retirement Angle Changed

Remember that whole Ric Flair retirement angle from two weeks ago? Notice how it wasn't mentioned at all this week on WWE RAW?

Reportedly, something happened over the past week that has resulted in the angle being put on hiatus. WWE was expecting Flair's return on 11/26 to produce a strong rating, but the show drew a typical 3.5.

Meanwhile, WWE has been hyping some of "biggest names of all time" to appear on next week's 15th Anniversary RAW special... but there's ben no mention of the Nature Boy. It's likely that Flair and his retirement angle will be moved over to SmackDown in the next few weeks.

Think this is a good idea?

Karen Angle Speaks on TNA Wrestling

Karen Angle recently spoke with The Miami Herald about her involvement with TNA Wrestling.

''[TNA] was talking about different storylines, things to do with Kurt,'' she said. "I came up with a couple of ideas using my daughter which then turned into something with our family. It was supposed to be a temporary thing. Obviously, it took off, and it went well.''

Karen Angle

So far, it's gone incredibly well. Who knew she'd be a natural in front of the camera?

''I surprised myself, and I think I surprised everybody here,'' Karen said. "Now, it's turned into I'm under contract with [TNA], and it's an amazing, amazing opportunity.''

Karen debuted in July in an angle where she duped Samoa Joe.

''Kurt's so proud of me. He's very proud of me,'' she said. "And he's pushing me, and he wants me to do more and more. He's so supportive, but I definitely shocked the #%@& out of him. I don't think he thought I would be able to do what I'm doing.''

Mr. Kennedy Speaks on Drugs in WWE

In an article by Mike Mooneyham for The Post and Courier, Mr. Kennedy says the following about drugs in WWE:

"Change is always good in any business. This company has changed a lot since I got here. Things are a lot different in the locker room. The atmosphere is a lot different. It's much different than it was 20 years ago."

Mr. Kennedy

Kennedy also doesn't condone drug use, but thinks it's acceptable in moderation:

"I know a lot of people don't want to hear this and it's not the most popular answer with everybody, but a lot of the guys who have passed away come from that era when this business was a rock-star atmosphere. These guys lived like rock stars and they partied like rock stars. They did all the drugs. I'm not condoning drug use - anything in moderation is OK - but these guys went to the absolute extremes.

It's no wonder when you mix steroids with recreational drugs and alcohol ... the combination of those three is a deadly cocktail. They're experiencing heart problems and all kinds of other stuff. A lot of those guys are flat broke because of it."

WWE Rumors: Latest on Carlito

Carilto remains unhappy and WWE official would be glad to see him go... but they prefer if he stayed with the company for a few more weeks.

On the heels of Booker T leaving WWE a few weeks ago - and then appearing in TNA, of course - WWE doesn't another huge name to make the jump to TNA Wrestling right now.

This, of course, begs the question: Is Carlito really a huge name?

In a backstage segment on Raw last night, it was announced that Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, Eric Bischoff, Mick Foley and Trish Stratus would be appearing on next week's three-hour show.

Moreover, the entire McMahon family will be doing a family portrait with Hornswoggle on next week's show. We guess that's exciting news.
