Chris Jericho on: WWE Return, TNA Wrestling

Chris Jericho recently talked with the The Winnipeg Sun. Here are some highlights from the interview:

On getting back into shape for his WWE return:
"I was on the same workout program for three years, which is never good. I was just too lazy to change. But I started working with a personal trainer which shocks your system because you never know what you're going to get. In September, I went to Lance Storm's wrestling school in Calgary and went through the drills. It was good to get back to the basics, get back in the groove and work on some new moves with Lance."

If he ever really considered going to TNA:
"I have respect for them (TNA) starting up and existing this long. But for me my dream was always to work in the WWE. It took nine long years to get there and, creatively, I left on very good terms. I had no axe to grind with Vince (McMahon) and no agenda. Unless he told me to go to hell, there was no chance I'd go to TNA."

Nancy Benoit Nude Photos to be Released

We often yearn to see Candice Michelle or Torrie Wilson nude.

But this just seems completely inappriopriate:

The upcoming March issue of Hustler magazine has a two-page spread of Nancy Benoit nude photos. Apparently, the images are from when she was married to Jim Daus.

She was reportedly involved in bikini and wet t-shirt competitions in Florida when one of the hosts told her she should be in Penthouse. He set up a photo shoot for her, videotaping the entire event, asNancy never submitted the photos and later had them destroyed.

However, the pics are now in the possession of Hustler and the magazine is actually set to release them. For shame.

Torrie Wilson Gives an Injury Update

On her MySpace page, Torrie Wilson posted an update on the back injury that is keeping her sidelined. The WWE Diva wrote:

"On the health front, my back problems don't seem to be getting any better and I am actually starting to feel worse believe it or not! It's gotten to the point that I can barely stand up in the morning. I've never really been hurt before so this is really REALLY annoying to me. I can't stand feeling frail and just want to go back to my active lifestyle.

I am looking into another type of treatment right now that looks promising so let's hope this problem goes away soon. Please pray for me! I have actually been out of the action in the wrestling ring for quite some time and am really starting to miss it."

An Interview with John Bradshaw Layfield

The Baltimore Sun recently spoke with John Bradshaw Layfield. Here are highlights from the chat:

On the "Tribute to the Troops" idea:

"I was over there one summer right after the invasion of Iraq. It was a miserably hot summer, as all of them are over there. It was 137 degrees one day. I was sitting there talking to Ron Simmons and I thought, “This would be great if we could come over here at Christmas and do something like the Bob Hope-type USO Christmas Special.

So when we got back, I approached Mr. [Vince] McMahon and [WWE executive producer] Kevin Dunn and told them what I thought would be a good idea and what I thought we could do, and they took it from there. Within a few weeks, the thing was done and we’ve been going over there ever since. This is our fifth year to be going over there."

On his interest in politics:
"I look at these politicians now, and I’ll tell you what, if Bush and Kerry are the two best politicians we have to run for president, we’re screwed. I just don’t think our best are in politics. I think these guys are inept. I think they’re wasting our money, they’re wasting our time, and I’m not sure I would be any different to be a part of that. Not that I would have the agenda these guys have, which is basically that they don’t want to work for a living, but I just don’t think I can make a difference.

I think I’m better served being in the free markets, because I believe the free markets will get us off foreign oil, the free markets will encourage trade. I just have a very dim view of politicians in general."

On who he likes in the 2008 presidential race:
"I like Bill Richardson on the Democratic side, and if I had to choose, I think I like John McCain on the Republican side."
