Chyna Files for Name Change, Challenges Vince McMahon

In her latest attempt at publicity, Joanie Laurer has filed to legally change her name to Chyna.

And she hopes Vince McMahon has a problem with it (Chyna is copyrighted by WWE). After all, the former wrestler issues the following statement:

"Do I want to go back to get abused by you and get punched in the head every day and have people not stand up for me besides the fans? No. Would I like to go back for one day representing myself and all these people to kick your ass and your ass only?

Cause you are the boss, right Vince? Then I would love to do it. You know my number. You know where I live, obviously. And you know my name. Bring it, Vince!"

Bret Hart Grants WWE an Interview

Ten years after he last stepped inside a WWE ring, Bret Hart has sat down and spoken with WWE.com. Here are some things Hart had to say regarding the Montreal screw job incident:

5821640.jpgWishing that the incident never happened: "I wish things had never changed and that I was still [in WWE],” he said. “I look back on that incident as a bad decision by Vince McMahon and WWE. I think we all can look back and know that there was a better way to do things...

It's a shame that things happened the way they did, but in the end, I think people have always respected me for being someone who always stood behind his beliefs, and stood up for himself."

Not forgiving people that played a part in the 'Montreal Screwjob': "There were a lot of elements that worked during that period; a lot of political jealousies and rivalries... I don’t forgive anybody involved in that – from Gerald Brisco to Michaels to Triple H to Vince. But at the same time, I realize that life’s too short to carry around hard feelings on an everyday basis."

On McMahon having no other choice but to do what he did: "I take issue with anyone who ever suggests that there was no other choice. But, Vince was under a fair bit of pressure financially back then. I can feel for him a little. I think [McMahon] has told me himself – and I believe him – that he wishes things had been done differently and has regrets about it. It should’ve never happened, but it did happen... and I have moved on."

Fans believing in him more than Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior
: "The fans really believed in me, more so than the Hogans and the Warriors. I think I was the most basic wrestler; I wasn’t the big guy, the most flamboyant and certainly not the most charismatic; but I was the most real. My wrestling was real, my personality was real and my interaction with the fans was real."

John Cena Admits to Steroid Use?

CNN aired  a documentary this week called "Death Grip: Inside Pro Wrestling."

The WWE employees they interviewed for the series were Vince and Linda McMahon, CM Punk, and John Cena, at his home with a sling on his arm. When asked if he had ever used steroids, Cena simply said: "I can't say that I have never taken them (steroids) and you can never prove that I have."

Isn't that pretty much an admission of guilt on Cena's part? He's challenging people to prove his use and straightforwardly admits he can't deny it.

That's disheartening.

WWE Rumors: Vickie Guerrero Story Line Dropped

Due to Kristal Marshall's release from WWE a few weeks ago, it looks like the planned Vickie Guerrero storyline has been dropped.

Original plans for the angle called for Vickie and Kristal to find out that Theodore Long had a heart condition and to conspire to work together to get him to take Viagra to trigger a heart attack so that Vickie could be the lone General Manager on SmackDown.

Instead, Vickie will simply be a babyface General Manager that stands up to men.

An Interview with Chris Jericho

Is Chris Jericho coming back to a WWE ring?

The superstar didn't answer that question in a recent interview with Maxim, but he did respond to the following topics...

A Lion's Tale:
I decided to write about my journey to realize my goal of wrestling in WWE. It's more of a follow-your-dreams, coming-of-age, stranger-in-a-strange-land story with wrestling in the background. You know, The Catcher in the Rye with a half-naked guy swinging a steel chair. It's 100 percent Chris Jericho. If you like it, I'll take the credit. If you don't, I'll blame it on someone else.

A Lion

…whether young wanna-be wrestlers could follow his path into the business:
A friend of mine recently told me, "The thing about this book is that in an age when all you have to do is write a blog or put yourself up on YouTube to get fame, this is one of the last old-school journeys." When I first started, I had to write letters to people, to send out tapes and pictures, to try to photocopy pictures where I looked cool. Now people just Photoshop everything and send it via e-mail.

The book is really a pay-your-dues type of story, about this kid who probably should've given up a few times, but was too stubborn or stupid to do that. As a result, he ended up achieving his goal. There's not a lot more books like this to be written, because I don't think there are a lot of stories like that to be told. Uh, I pretty much forgot what your question was [laughs].

…"enthusiastic" fans:
Somebody actually tattooed my face on his arm. In a couple years, that will be the equivalent of having a Screech tattoo. A woman fan wrote me letters every time I went to a certain arena in Mexico: "I will be your wife someday. You know you love me." A bunch of letters later, she wrote, "If you don't write me back within the next week and tell me that you love me, I will kill myself."
