Bill Goldberg Lays into TNA Wrestling

Bill Goldberg recently appeared on Live 105.3 in Texas.

He had the following to say about TNA Wrestling:

"TNA totally blows, man. I don't think they have a clue as to what people want to see, I think. They've got a very clouded vision. Right after the Chris Benoit death, WWE and TNA had an opportunity to 'make it right.' They had an opportunity, they had everyone's attention and what does TNA do? They go out and sign 'Pacman' Jones.

That in itself, in a nutshell, describes TNA's mentality. That as a viable option for Goldberg? Absolutely not. Those guys don't deserve to have me on their program."

Jeff Probst Calls Ashley Massaro an Idiot

With the season premiere of Survivor: China next week, host Jeff Probst weighed in on all the contestants. Here's what he had to say about Ashley Massaro:

Probst says Ashley is “strong and she’s mouthy and she spends a lot of time running around in very little clothing. She also has blond, black and pink hair, and face piercings. I predict Ashley will be a complete idiot, or utterly compelling. Probably both."

WWE Issues Press Release on Vince McMahon's Son

WWE sent out the following press release regarding Mr. McMahon's illegitimate son:

STAMFORD, Conn., September 11, 2007 – Five weeks after the WWE Chairman was served with a paternity suit for an illegitimate child he allegedly sired, it was announced on last night’s Monday Night RAW (9/8pm CT on USA Network) that Hornswoggle was the missing member of the McMahon family.

During last night’s show, Mr. McMahon’s moment of discovery was accompanied by a scowl of disbelief as Hornswoggle scrambled from under the ring and across the mat to cling tightly to his newfound father’s leg. The latest addition to the McMahon family marks the culmination of weeks of speculation in which the lawyer for the woman who brought the paternity suit against the Chairman dropped the clue last week that, “things are looking up.”

The lawyer then dropped additional clues one by one on last night’s show to finally reveal the Lil’ Bastard, as he had been appropriately known.

WWE Spoilers: Plans for Umaga

Umaga is slated to return to action at the beginning of October and continue his feud with Triple H. He probably won't be facing any long-term repercussions from his suspension.

Layla El Interview: WWE Diva in FHM

Layla El, Kelly Kelly and Extreme Expose grace the cover of FHM this month.

Here's an interview with the 2006 WWE Diva Search winner from that issue:

The last time we talked to you was after you won the WWE Diva Search. What’s life been like since?
It’s been crazy. I have done as much in the last year as I’d normally do in two or three years. I’ve traveled around the world, joined Extreme Exposé and now I’m shooting for FHM. It’s been a big roller coaster, but it’s been a great change in my life.

Layla, WWE Diva

What did you have to go through to win the Diva Search?
It started off as a nationwide competition, then they selected 250 girls to go to L.A. From there it was two or three days of auditions and they picked the top eight. Then it was up to the crowd. We had bikini boot camp, dance contests and a talent competition. They would throw us surprise challenges to see how’d we react. But, at the end of the day, it was up to the fans.

Most fans know you as a dancer with Extreme Exposé. Are you interested in getting in the ring and mixing it up?
I love what I’m doing now with Extreme Exposé, because it’s how I was brought into the WWE, but of course I want to wrestle. That’s where my passion is. When I’m in the ring, I don’t think about anything else. I train and have matches in Florida now and, hopefully, I’ll have an opportunity to get in there and actually wrestle for the WWE.

Did the other WWE Divas give you an initiation?
My first appearance as a WWE Diva was at SummerSlam 2006. I was walking into the locker room and Trish [Stratus] and the other Divas pushed me into the shower, got me wet and spanked me!

Not a bad way to make an entrance. You were a dancer before coming to the WWE, weren’t you?
I did work as a dancer. I’ve danced with P. Diddy and Kanye West at the MTV Awards. I also danced with the Miami Heat for two years.

WWE Rumors: Jim Ross on His Way Out?

The contract of Jim Ross is about to expire. WWE rumors have made it sound as though the long-time announcer is on his way out of the company.

Ross responded to this talk in his latest blog:

"I am in hopes of re-signing with the WWE and talks are on going. I don’t see any immediate issues on the negotiation horizon. This is another story that has taken a life of its own and many internet sites have written about it as if they know exactly what is going on, but none of them have talked to me about it, which should illustrate that there are times when some sites simply take a rumor and run with it as fact.

My goal is to continue to work for the WWE, but if that were not to work out, I still have plenty to do to keep me busy. My wrestling career has been a blessed one that I would have never envisioned over 30 years ago, but all things have to come to an end at some point. Our Bar-B-Q biz is going to continue to grow as we hope to start rolling out more store stores in 2008 and plan on building several stores over the next few years."

WWE RAW Preview

Here is the official preview for tonight's Monday Night RAW...

This week, the wait is over. Mr. McMahon and the rest of the world will finally learn the identity of the Chairman’s illegitimate son.

Last week, a lawyer for the woman who has filed a paternity suit against Mr. McMahon revealed only one clue about his illegitimate son: “Things are looking up.” Will Mr. McMahon beam with pride when his offspring’s identity is revealed? Or will he find himself cursing his considerable “grapefruits”? And will Mr. Kennedy, who claimed to be the Chairman’s bastard son last week, have anything to say as this mystery unfolds?

Raw General Manager William Regal felt WWE Champion John Cena’s wrath after he announced a title rematch at Unforgiven between Cena and his tormentor Randy Orton, who attacked The Champ’s father the previous week. Will Cena feel any ramifications for his attack? And will his rage over his father’s plight manifest itself again this week?

Triple H proved last week that his Game hasn’t lost a step, apparently putting Umaga on the shelf after bludgeoning him with a sledgehammer during a Handicap Match with the Samoan Bulldozer and Carlito. With Carlito anxious to exact revenge against Triple H for ruining his Cabana with Mr. McMahon, what measures will the Caribbean Bad Apple take against the King of Kings?

In an impressive show of aerial artistry, Jeff Hardy was able to snatch the Intercontinental Championship from between the teeth of Umaga. What awaits "The Rainbow-haired Warrior” next week on Raw? Will the high-flyer face a challenge to his title?
