Jim Ross On: Kurt Angle Return, John Cena Bashers

On his official blog, here's what Jim Ross had to say about Kurt Angle and those that rudely diss John Cena:

On Possible Kurt Angle Return: Will Kurt Angle ever return to the WWE questions have been popping up lately. Last I looked, Kurt had a job with a lesser schedule, which I feel fits him better than being on the road even though the WWE schedule is 4 days on and 3 days off, if one is booked full time. The days of the “I worked over 300 days a year” song and dance have long since passed which, honestly, is a really good thing.

I am not in charge of WWE bridges so for me to say if Kurt has burned his bridge or not with the WWE would be a guess and not my place. Personally, I would say he has not, but again, I am down in Oklahoma selling Bar-B-Q and not managing talent relations of which I am eternally thankful.

On John Cena Haters: Cena haters, adults especially, but any one dropping “F-Bombs” at John Cena or anyone else at a wrestling event is a classless, gutless, jerk. Using profane language in the presence of women and children is unacceptable in my view. Violators should be tossed if they are heard spewing such garbage. If parents allow their kids to have dirty mouths because they think their kids are cute when they curse, are not good parents.

I feel fans should be able to boo who in the heck they want and even write posters indicating such, as I think that makes for good, organic, TV but overt profanity in a public gathering dotted with families is not the place to use foul language. Sometimes I th

- Chuck Palumbo promo video airs.

- Mark Henry def. Nate Dickerson in a squash. Dickerson is a frizzy-haired guy weighing only 175. Henry gets on the mic afterwards and says that no one can beat him and no one will accept a match with him. The reason why? He shows a clip of him beating down The Undertaker a couple months ago.

- Deuce is shown backstage looking for Cherry. She ends up coming out of Batista's locker room. Soon after Flair and Batista walk out with smiles on their faces.

- Rey Mysterio return video airs. It says he will return at Summerslam.

WWE Diva Stopped by Airport Security

Don't worry, Victoria wasn't up to anything dangerous.

Here's what recently went down from the WWE Diva herself, courtesy of a post on her MySpace blog yesterday:

Very Pretty in Pink "So I was on the WWE Asia/Australia Tour. We fly from California to Bangkok, perform in Bangkok, then fly to Singapore. As I'm going through customs to get into Singapore, my purse goes through the x-ray machine. The security guy tells me they have to look through my bag. I didn't see anyone else get stopped, so I figured nothing good was coming out of this. A couple other security people come over. They pull a bullet shell casing out of my purse.

Let me explain that. I think I mentioned a few months back that my uncle passed away when I was in Europe. I didn't get to go to the funeral, and because he had a lengthy career in the U.S. Air Force, they gave him a 21 gun salute at his funeral.

My brother collected the spent shell casings from the salute and had them engraved with his name and the date he passed. I appreciated that, and I keep it with me. Well Singapore Airport security wants to know why I have a spent bullet in my purse. They pull me aside, and pretty soon, police officers come up with some kind of investigator. Meanwhile WWE office folk realize that something fishy is going on, so they step aside with me.

The investigator questioned me for a while. They really asked me the same questions over and over. The whole deal took about 30 minutes. Everyone was very polite, and I absolutely understand they have a reason to be cautious, but the whole thing was quite surreal.

They ended up confiscating the shell casing, which I hope WWE can get back from the Singapore government, and sending me on my way."

Andrew "Test" Martin Debuts: TNA iMPACT Results, 8-2-07

The following report is courtesy of lordsofpain.net...

Samoa Joe has arrived at the Impact Zone.

We get a recap of last week's impact. Sting vs Roode. Angle at the psychiatrist. And Abyss vs AJ Styles.

Backstage, Jim Cornette is grilling Christian about being involved in Abyss being beaten under the ring. Tonight there will be a contract above the ring. AJ Styles and Christian vs Sting and Abyss in a ladder match. If Sting and Abyss win they get the contract and Abyss gets a match with Christian at Hard Justice.

Kurt Angle comes in with his daughter and good-looking wife. The daughter is pulling Angle's luggage and his wife is carrying his belts.

header_logo.gifOpening Match: Team 3D vs Chris Harris and "Showtime" Eric Young
Team 3D come out to a chorus of boos. The super generic Chris Harris is out next. And finally Eric Young.

Harris and Devon start the match. Devon cheap shots Harris and stomps him on the mat. Devon throws a couple punches as Harris tries to get to his feet. Harris ducks a clothesline and hits a flying clothesline of his own, and a bulldog. Boot to the gut and a vertical suplex. Pin attempt, two count. Arm wrench and a tag to Eric Young. Young and Devon are going to lock up but then Devon tags in Brother Ray. Ray intimidates Young. They lock up and Ray kicks Young in the gut. Armdrag to Ray. And another. Followed by a dropkick. And a hiptoss and dropkick for Devon. Devon trips Young off the irish whip and Ray clotheslines him. Choke with the boot from Ray. Ray tags in Devon. Devon pounds Young in the corner. Tag to Ray. Double irish whip. And a double dropkick to 3D. He inches over to Harris for the tag but Dustin Rhodes attacks Chris Harris. Young avoids a hit from Ray and goes for a quick roll up. 2 count. a Doubleteam neckbreaker to Eric Young. A poorly executed spike piledriver for the win.
Winners: Team 3D

As we return from the break, Robert Roode is beating down Eric Young. "Nobody embarrasses Robert Roode!" Robert Roode tars and feather Eric Young. And it's the 80s all over again. It apparently pays to be rude. Jugs and Roode talk some more trash to Young and we go to the back.

We come back and Borash approaches Kurt and his family. Angle tells his wife to go get a cup of coffee because she can use the excerise. His daughter wants a candy bar. Kurt asks if she wants to end up fat like Joe or with thunder thighs like mommy. Mrs. Kurt Angle is supposed to look perfect. She better get her act together.

Tenay and Don West at ringside. They hype the main event ladder match. Bound for Glory in October.

Match Two: Triple X (Senshi, Christopher Daniels and Elix Skipper) vs "The Guru" Sonjay Dutt, "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal

Apparently this is just Senshi and Fallen Angel. They never said that. Suicide dive by Lethal. The MotorCity Machineguns tape the match. Irish whip by Senshi. He falls with a hurt ankle. As the ref tends to him Daniels gets a cheapshot in. Tag to Daniels. Facewash by Senshi on Lethal. Daniels goes for the pin. Headbutt from Daniels. Lethal fights back. Daniels holds Lethal for the springboard enziguri from Senshi. Rearnaked choke from Daniels. Lethal elbows out. Tags in Guru. A couple kicks to Triple X. Springboard senton on Daniels. Tenay calls it a Thesz Press. Sonjay takes down Daniels. Senshi gets control. Backflip reverse DDT, ala Ultimo Dragon. STO by Daneils. Senshi hits the double stomp off the top. Followed by the BME.
Winners: Triple X

Angle talks to "Dr."Nash. He wants Nash to psychoanalyze his wife. He accuses her of checking out Nash's package. Keeps calling her fat. Angle leaves in anger. Nash tries to hit on Karen. She leaves.

Main Event Ladder Match: Christian Cage and AJ Styles vs Abyss and Sting
Sting and Abyss go to work on the Coalition. AJ tries to irish whip AJ but gets a boot instead. Abyss goes for a double chokeslam but gets the double boots. Then he hits a double clothesline. Sting goes to the top for a double crossbody. Abyss and Sting throw AJ and Chistian back into the ring. They both take the ladder to the face. Sting and Abyss are in control as we go to commercial.

Back from Commercial and Sting fights out of the corner. Sting climbs the ladder but Cage stops him. They duke it out on top but Sting takes Cage down to the mat. Sting climbs again but AJ hits a springbaord forearm on Sting, knocking him off the ladder. AJ and Abyss climb the ladder. Chokeslam from the top. Tomko comes down with a chair. He hits Abyss in the back. TEST comes down the ramp. It's Andrew Martin. He attacks Tomko. The patented big boot, most brutal in the business from Test. He takes out the entire Coalition. He throws AJ out of the ring onto Tomko and Cage. Abyss climbs the ladder and takes down the contract.
Winners: Abyss and Sting

We're back. JB in the back with Andrew Martin, Sting and Abyss. He puts Abyss over. And calls Sting a legend. Refers to himself as the new enforcer of TNA, "the Punisher" Andrew Martin.

Angle's music hits. He comes out titles in hand, followed by his cute wife. He forces Karen to hold his belts. He says he's misunderstood. He is a loving, caring and compassionate father. And his wife knows that he is a loving, caring and compassionate husband. So he brought out his wife to answers some questions, since she never shuts up. How does it feel, he asks, to be the wife of the greatest wrestler and husband in the world? She doesn't say anything. So he decides to respesent his family. Kurt Angle is...A HORSE'S ASS. Joe has mic in hand and he comes down the ramp. Angle hides behind his wife. She grabs the mic. He has stripped her of her dignity and her self-respect for 12 years. He tells her to shut her mouth.

Joe gets in his face. She's sick of his attitude, his arrogance, and his stupid gold medal. That one hurt him the most. She says as of tonight, their marriage is officially over. She leaves the ring. Joe gets on the mic. He says at Hard Justice he'll be taking those titles. And Angle will be left with nothing. He strips Angle down once again. But Angle kept the pants this time.

Linda McMahon on WWE Wellness Policy

Prior to the question-and-answer session of Thursday's quarterly conference call, WWE Chief Executive Officer Linda McMahon read a statement concerning WWE's commitment to the wellness of its wrestlers:

To be clear, our talent is a critical part of our success. Their health and well being is important to us, both personally and professionally. We are committed to doing anything we can to help our performers lead healthy lives. This includes continuing our strong stance against the abuse of all drugs, including steroids. To serve this objective and to benefit the health of our talent, we implemented a Wellness Program in February 2006 which includes testing for steroids.

We will work to maintain it as a state of the art program. We are grateful for our fans and business partners who understand that Chris Benoit's actions are not representative of the men and women who perform for the WWE. The continuing support of our fans and business partners is evident in our live event attendance and the sales of our consumer products, which have remained strong even in the face of this tragedy.

Going forward, we remain steadfastly committed to insuring the health of our talent, as we pursue our mission of creating compelling characters and storylines.

More Requests for WWE Documents

According to a report today by The New York Daily News, a second congressional committee has contacted WWE in requesting documents about the company's steroid-testing program.

Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Ill.) - chairman of the House Commerce and Trade and Consumer Protection Subcommitte - and Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Fl.) both requested the information via letter to Vince McMahon.

WWE's Gary Davis had the following to say in response to the requests by Congress: "We are reviewing it and will respond accordingly."

The Think Tank: Going... Going...

think-tank-logo11111111111.jpgBy Pete Ellis

ECW is breaking down like a turd in the rain.

Let's see here... Big Show is gone, Kurt Angle is gone, Heiman is gone, Test is out, Lashley has moved, RVD is (yep, you guessed it) history ... and Chris Benoit is really gone.

So what have we replaced them with? The Boogie Man, The Miz, and Big Daddy V with no shirt (shutter). Has anyone seen Sabu or Hardcore Holly recently? Anyone seen any talent recently?

THE GOOD:

- John Morrison is okay, but the new look is a little too obvious if you ask me. He might as well come out to the ring to the tune of "Break on Through."

- CM Punk is also a decent performer, but he is running out of people to work with, and needs a new theme with a new finsher.

- Elijah Burke is fun to watch in the ring, but every time they get a story going, they seem to drop it just as quickly. A man can only do so much in the ring, after all.

THE BAD:

- Marcus Cor Von. As much as I look forward to that shoulder tackle, Marcus epitomizes the term "one-trick pony."

- Extreme Expose. I love tits. Yet I can't get past the feeling that I should be watching a match.

- ECW's Draft Picks. Not even Taz can whitewash the fact that what was left of ECW died with the draft.

THE UGLY:

For God's sake, Big Daddy V needs to put a top on or start calling himself "Tittera." This brand is like a sick animal. Get the damn thing to the hospital or put it out of its misery.

While you're at it, get Sandman the hell off of the TV. Whatever show he's on, he stinks and I'm tired of pretending he doesn't. Does "hardcore" always suck this much?

I'm out.

WWE Rumors: Jeff Hardy Suspended?

PWInsider.com, which first broke the news of Jeff Hardy's absence from Monday's RAW telecast, is now reporting that Hardy was suspended in the days prior to the telecast.

While specifics on the suspension are unavailable, numerous sources said that WWE officials are upset with Hardy's "lack of maturity."

Jeff Hardy has not been released, although his suspension will likely last a minimum of thirty days.

Two New Summerslam Matches Confirmed

We already known John Cena will take on Randy Orton on August 26 at Summerslam. Here are two recently announced matches to the pay-per-view:

- The Great Khali will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Batista.

- Rey Mysterio will return and wrestle Chavo Guerrero.
