More Details on Chris Benoit Death; Ruled a Murder-Suicide
Lt. Tommy Pope of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department told ABC News that Chris Benoit had missed several appointments over the weekend, leading concerned parties to ask police to do a "welfare check."
When sheriffs arrived at the Benoits' home, they found the wrestler, his wife and their son dead. There were no signs of gunshot wounds or stabbing, according to Pope. Authorities are not ruling out other causes, such as poisoning, suffocation or strangulation.
Pope told ABC News that his department is looking at this situation as a "possible double murder, suicide." Pope said "the instruments of death were located on scene," but he would not specify what those instruments are or where in the house the bodies were found. Pope added the department is "not actively searching for any suspects outside of the house."
An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. However, it could be weeks before there is a result. We'll keep all WWE fans updated and all members of Benoit's family in our hearts.

Wen Raw opened last night I was shocked by wat greeted me as a picture of Chris Benoit Stating he was dead. I cud not believe it wen I heard his family wer also dead. It has shocked and deeply saddened me 2 hear of such news. He always seemed a happy man in his wrestling carrer. It jst goes 2 show dat u dnt no wat goes on behind closed doors/wat people are feeling. He'll b sadly missed by all wrestling fans. chris was once my favorit wrestler, i always thought he was the best. and for him to have done something so horriable is just unbeliveable. i feel so sad for the wife and child. what ever he was going through, they did't need to pay for it. god have mursey on his soul if he will.

I feel very sad for the entire wrestling family at WWE and for the Benoit family but i am also upset with the media and the way they are covering this ,for them to say Benoit killed his wife and son over the weekend and then himself monday when the autopsies have not even been done to establish the time of death yet is insane ...If it does turn out that Chris did this then i pray for him and of course my heart goes out to his wife and little boy whopassed but my heart mostly breaks for their other children and i am left to wonder where they were and hope they are safe and loved and helped through this horrific time
