Smackdown News: Kennedy Plans, Judgment Day Match

• The latest update on Mr. Kennedy is that with the news that his injury is not as serious as first thought, creative plans are almost certain to change once again. While Kennedy will not be able to work a match for 6-8 weeks, there is a good possibility that WWE creative could continue to write him into television angles doing interviews and minor run-ins.

The feeling backstage is that Kennedy is a top guy on SmackDown and it is important to keep him involved with the brand. We should know a lot more after next week’s SmackDown tapings as to the direction that they will be using Kennedy.

• Dave Meltzer is reporting that Edge vs. Batista for the WWE World Heavyweight Title will be added to the Judgment Day pay-per-view.
