WWE Rumors, Wrestlemania Spoilers: Main Events, Matches Planned
Word is going around that the two main events for Wrestlemania 23 are almost set.
The most likely to take place is Batista vs. The Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Title. There's no discussion yet on which superstar would turn heel for this match, but it is probable that Taker's Wrestlemania winning streak will come to an end.
For RAW, the main event appears to be John Cena vs. Triple H for the title. However, WWE officials have no plans to turn either heel in the near future. Because they wish to keep Cena as champion until the event, though, he'd need to fight Triple H in order for Vince's son-in-law to share the spotlight.
The other match being debated is Hulk Hogan vs.The Big Show, but that seems more difficult with Show's current hiatus/retirement from the ring.
Nothing else is close to being set-up, but it's safe to assume Shawn Michaels, Kane, Edge, Umaga and King Booker will figure prominently. There will also be some sort of ECW title match.

I want to see in the main event at wrestlemania to be Hulk Hogan vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin! Now that would be cool! I'm looking forward to wrestlemania it will be my first wrestleing show!

Hogan vs stone cold will be the last match either wrestler competes in befor they will retire, it will go down as the greatest match in history.

I would rather see Bret Hart vs. Angle, but they should have an Undistputed Title match with Cena as a heel, and Batista as a face, Cena needs to dress as eminem to promote himself rather than just put on good matches.

I suggest that WWE & ECW must not put freakin' match. Don't put low calibur superstars in PPV, and put many matches.

Sabu! Needs to face someone and win so he will be back up in P25 on wwe.com. So another 30 man elimination match will do. Vince vs Eric sounds great. Layla needs to get deep into the wrestling already....

I wish to see John Cena make a win over Triple H at Wrestlemania 23 so then Vince can hate John Cena then Shawn Micheals will make John Cena a part of D generation X so the it could be Cena,Micheals,HHH against the Mr.McMahon

That last Idea was truely Great.. I also would like a John Cena Type, Fall into the mix of the D' Generation X's Arsonal to make Vince squirm a little more.
However i really Would like to see DX take on Two Grapplers of Vinces Choice and One of Them screw Vince and Join DX in some great story Line that the writers get paid to do. Which i dont anymore so i'll keep that to myself.

I really don't want to see Undertaker's streak end to Batista. All credit to the guy, I just don't see him as anything more than a powerhouse, and I'd rather see a really good wrestler/legend end Taker's reign (or just have the Deadman retiring at 15-0 would be great).

Well, I think that the Deadman should win his 5th title. He should be remembered as a 5-time champion with an undefeated winning streak at Wrestlemania. As for John Cena vs. Triple H goes, it shouldn't happen. They aleady had a main event match last year at Wrestlemania 22. There should also be a match which consists of Mick Foley vs. Vince McMahon. That would be something to see.

id like to see austin vs hogan but it wont happen. the last thing i want is to see cena vs triple h, maybe cena vs hbk would be cool but, id rather see shawn micheals take on the rock!!!!!! undertaker vs batista would be kind of cool but batista cant win because he realy sucks. plus if taker wins then he would have beaten all 4 members of evolution at wrestlemanias. also i think the best match ecw could put on is rvd vs cm punk

It will be stupid if Batista ends Undertakers winning streak at Wrestlemania because if he gets inducted into the hall of fame it will look stupid to see 14-1 on the Wrestlemania streak it will be better at 15-0. Undertaker deserves to have another title run and become 5 time champion.

i think that a hhh, cena match would really suck! both of them suck and the oly way it could get any better is if you put cena vs the best wrestler in the buisness... Randy Orton for the title and have Orton win!!!

Obviously Triple H's quad injury has left the WWE title scene at Mania up in the air. There are rumors circulating that HBK will take HHH's spot at Mania (since it will be easiset to write Michaels in the storyline). The one problem with a HBK v Cena match is that the WWE doesn't see HBK as a Mania main eventer anymore with so many younger guys sitting around (eg Edge, Orton, etc). Personally, I'd like to see a Cena heel turn if this match were to happen.
As for Smackdown and the World Heavyweight Title, Taker v Batista has an 85% chance of playing out so you can pretty much bet that it happen. I have heard many probabilities as for an outcome but I think Taker should win and keep his streak intact. Let's be honest Taker has never had that a long, definitive world title run, never won the rumble,and as of late has jobbed to every young superstar that have stepped through those curtains. Making him lose his streak will destroy the legacy that is the Phenom. Besides, as good as Batista is, he's not the most youngest and promising future talents around.

Cena won't turn heel. WWE makes to much money off him as is. HBK has akind history with Cena. A match with them would have to be 2 faces going at it. I personaly would like to see Cena take Triple H's postion in DX. I believe Cena is the only one who could pull it off. I would truley HATE to see DX die this way, well I'd hate to see DX die no matter what, but I know it will eventually happen. Profit wise, it would be best to keep DX going, besides Cena, DX is a major money maker and attraction to what was becomming a very stale product. Right before DX came back out I had pretty much had it with wrestling after being a faithfull watcher for almost 30 years. If WWE isn't carefull, they stand to lose it all in a short amount of time.
No I don't want to see the Deadman lose his streak at mania. But let's face it, Taker is just about ready for retirement. He is being used the same way Flair is, putting over key new talent in the hopes of helping them build thier career.

Stone Cold VS Hulk Hogan would be a very entertaining match... but the risk of injury is very very high as they both suffer from permanent damage. Jim ross has stated 'Don't be surprised to see The Rock in WWE during 2007" on wikipedia, so expect WM 23 to include him. Cena VS Triple H would be very gboring as its happened before, i hope its not umaga vs cena as that would be as bad. HBK winning the title from Cena would be good to watch though.
Taker VS Batista... hmm would be good to watch and i'd want taker to keep the record and win the title. The problem with WWE is that lately they have made their champions too attached to their titles making never ending storylines where cena/batista will always go for the title and not do something else like HHH and HBK are doing now.
Hopefully they won't make this wresltemania another 22 as that was boring. 21,20 and 19 where great.

Despite the fact that Cena is WAY, WAY over with the fans, having him as a face at Wrestlemania wouldn't play up to McMahon and depisement for face v face matches (esp at Mania).
Whatever happened to the days where a wrestler that was a complete fan favorite and adored worldwide just all of a sudden turns his back on the fans. I mean Cena just turning heel would be out of no where and would indeed make for some intriguing television.

Foley v McMahon is pretty much set in stone
Lashley v CM Punk v RVD is also very likely
Another probable match is Orton v Edge. The WWE hinted at a possible implosion between Rated RKO a couple of weeks ago on RAW. After Edge had won the 30-Man Battle Royal and was getting ready for his title shot against Cena, the jealousy in Orton's eyes were evident when Edge tells him that he will win back the title. You have to believe that the Legend Killer doesn't like the fact that he's playing second fiddle to his buddy Edge.
WWE then decided to pull back on the setting up of this match (as they viewed it was much too early). Expect alot involving Orton and Edge at the Royal Rumble.
Aside from what is going around, I doubt that this match will occur looking at th two individuals involved them being Randy Orton and EDge. One would obviously have to turn face (As much as McMahonagement hates the idea of face v face matches, they completely despise heel v heel ones). The problem with that is, it is extremely hard sell to turn one of these guys face shortly after the things that they have done as of late (see. Con-Chairto to Flair and HHH, double RKO on chair to HBK). As good as this match would play out in the ring, on paper, its a completely different story.

WM23's best bets would be to eliminate ECW first off and then -->
Undertaker v Batista (WH title)
Lashley v Cena (WWE title)
HBK v Jeff Hardy V RVD (High Flyers TLC match for IC title)
Edge v Orton (Edge can go face easier than Orton)
Hogan v Big Show (just so Hogan can "slam another giant at WM")
Foley v Vince (No DQ - obviously)
Great Khali v Umaga
Booker T v Kennedy v CM Punk v Sabu v Carlito v Chris Masters ($ in the bank - two ladder matches but who cares?)
Benoit v Matt Hardy (US title - boring but you have to fill out the card)
