It is currently being advertised that on the Best of Smackdown airing Friday, Teddy Long will be making a special appearance on the show to announce the Smackdown main event for the 2007 WWE Royal Rumble.
The most likely candidates to face Batista would be King Booker or Finlay. But it's unknown at this time in which direction WWE/Smackdown will go.

This is an annoyance, smackdown has no right to be pulling the same stuff out of every ppv just to cover te timeframe each show.
We need some more action
like batista can go against somebody no one would expect and still will know it's a good fight

the winner of the royal rumble will be CM Punk and the match with batista will be a triple-threat between Batista, Mr. Kennedy, and Undertaker for World Title.
